She is a pretty person she doesn't need all this weird stuff and outfits/hair colours that DO NOT suit her at all. Just hard to look at

agreed

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

Looks like a RuPaul production. :awkney:

There are some visually amazing shots tho, like the all silver scene.

From those behind the scenes stills I thought the production was going to be quite good. But the set just looked like a quick put together scene from a play.

I'm disappointed buy it actually.

Visually, it's one of her better videos. But the one second shot of choreo? Why wasn't there more? Seriously. Her videos are always so.. childish. I like Dark Horse.. it's a solid Pop Song. Tacky, disappointing video. The concept.. is sort of hard to understand. Meh

I really love the visuals. But the story line and her actions are so childish. It's so annoying. This video could be so good!

That platinum wig with its poorly applied symbols on it is absolutely tragic. As is the Americanisation of Egyptian culture, Katy's cringey attempts to be urban and contrast between the lyrics and the video. I expected a song like this, considering her VMAs performance, to be one of her darkest music videos with her dressed as a witch in a gothic forest or something and have her ride an actual dark horse too. It really could have been brilliant. And the song includes "make me your Aphrodite," so a Greek theme could have worked too, given the right direction. Why she went for an Egyptian theme is beyond my comprehension. Not one moment of this video worked and was tacky moment after tacky moment. Apart from Roar, Katy's more recent videos have been a lot more grown up, so I was expecting more from her and this could have been a great opportunity to make one of her best ever videos. Clearly, after the failure of Unconditionally, Capitol are terrified that her reign could be slipping and that she could be beginning to be considered boring. And their solution, of course, was to revert back to childish TD-esque videos again. Capitol stamped out every "dark" element that she was originally planning for this album, minus this one song, and even this has been given another candyfloss makeover. Eyes forever on the money, that label.

she always did funny videos

Hot N Cold, Waking Up In Vegas, California Girls, Last Friday Night, Roar and now Dark Horse. That is her style.

Is like people wondering why Gaga does fashion-esque and weird music videos

Not every criticism towards your fave is made because someone is "pressed." :awkney:

Please don't devolve this thread into flame bait and arguments.

are you a mod now? o_O

No. But it's still a nice rule to remember, mod or not.

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~
