You and I was about her and then-fake boyfriend Taylor's relationship. Just Dance was set to a house party, which makes sense when you're drunk. ****, even Poker Face had some gambling and strip poker. LoveGame had her naked between Love and Fame, while Paparazzi is clearly evident. Bad Romance was about the story of a woman sold to the Russians, falling in love, and killing him. Telephone and Alejandro are the only ones I really don't get, though I suppose Alejandro showcases the relationships of male dominance over women (and other men). Applause had her iconic eras that made us give her the Applause she craves, and DWUW is Nothing I Can Say portrays a relationship just like the song Katy's videos have been showcasing her more than a story. The plot behind this one just doesn't even fit the song, it should be her rising to her strength and overcoming adversity not playing "Date the Egyptian" Also, did she forget most of her audience is in school during this time? I guess this is the first Katy Perry music video you've ever seen I Kissed A Girl: Having a naughty slumber party with other girls Ur So Gay: She has a boyfriend that's really so gay Hot N Cold: Marrying a guy who's always hot and cold, yes and then no Thinking Of You: Her husband is killed in war and she's thinking of him Waking Up In Vegas: She wakes up in Las Vegas after doing crazy things with her boyfriend California Gurls: She saves gurls trapped by Snoop Dogg in the fantasy land of Candyfornia Teenage Dream: She and her boyfriend travels the country in romantic scenes like teenagers dream of Firework: People that were insecure or troubled find ineer strenght, represented by fireworks coming out their chests E.T.: She's an E.T. It's rather transparent of them. I mean give the girl props when they are due. The video is absolutely brilliant, most of Katy's videos are. I'm not pressed about her success though, I just really don't like the video. That's fair. Me and many others simply don't like the video because we find it tacky. Remember when Gaga made an awesome dark/cold video for the summery and hot "Alejandro"? I do. It's nice to see artists improvise with their videos. Watching videos where it's a literal representation of the song is boring. One of the reasons I'm a fan of Gaga is for her metaphorical videos.
