I've just watched it again, and it's the first time I'm watching it since the ARTPOP era has begun, and it just reminded me how much Kylie's "Aphrodite" album was mainly based on the concept of Greek gods and goddesses, and, well... goddess Aphrodite aka Venus in particular. Beyond the record itself, the tour was mainly designed around similar themes, and Kylie ended up making her big entrance in a giant seashell, something I'm afraid Gaga will also do on the artRAVE... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgFJM5IvL6w 3:40 in particular Oh, and yeah, to make it even more worrying, there's also an oriental section in Kylie's tour... Gaga will have Aura. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vPrv2GOL8k And finally (yeah, there's more), Kylie has also a space-inspired backdrop during "I Believe In You" (not to mention she's being carried around a "Monster Pit" throughout the song, something that could very well have inspired Gaga for HML on the BTWBall....). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOT4TayqZ3w To sum things up: we have the Greek goddess of love + oriental influences + space imagery, three elements we find extensively in the ARTPOP era. So I'm a bit worried what Gagz will be coming up with her own tour. I know Kylie hasn't invented any of these things, nor has Gaga, but you know how quick people can be with silly comparisons.... We're still healing from the BTW/EY mess, tbh. Have you also noticed the similarities between the ARTPOP era visuals and Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite era before? By the way, I strongly recommend all of you to watch the "Aphrodite Les Folies Tour" - if the artRAVE is nearly as good as this tour, we'll all have good reasons to be more than happy and satisfied.
