How "clean" is ARTPOP for you in terms of sound?

Last part is true, and they all sound like they could stand out on their own but putting them together has overwhelmed the sound

But they could all be singles it's scary

See, I think they all balance each other out together. When I listen to the album from start to finish, they really blend and become one piece.

I agree with you mostly, but DWUW is VERY clean.

Idk I didn't like it but I'm not much of a fan of R&B

Maybe if there was slightly more production, but I'll respect it as a track :)

DWUW production feels clean to me too.

But nice to see appreciation for the Goddess' own handiwork in the OP :applause:

I play Venus on Vevo ~100 times a day hoping Gagz gets the message that I need it on radio now :hor:

I think it sounds really clean and polished to me.
I mean it's Zedd and Madeon, how could it not be.

My faves have to be Aura, ARTPOP and Mary Jane Holland. They're so like crazy and amazing but clean too. I love it.

its a little too clean. it lacks interesting production in a lot of areas, less detail. when all the intrumentals leaked, they where awesome, but not once did i go "omg i never knew that sound existed!" i was just able to hear things more clear from sounds i already had a hunch where already there.

btw as an instrumental album>>>>>>the production on any other of her albums. i can listen to born this way the instrumentals and still enjoy it as its own album it had a stronger direction, it didn't sound like watered down trends of whats going on at the time.

that being said, the first 4 songs on ARTPOP have my favorite production, and then its dwuw, ARTPOP, swine, fashion!, mjh, and gypsy and applause have really good production, but im kind of indifferent to them. they fit for the song, but it sort of is what it is. gypsy has like a few nice synths and i like when i can hear madeon's influence, but in general its just a watered down edge of glory with a little bit of hair in there. and applause i like its production, i like the tempo, the slight bubblegum j-pop synth throughout, but right when i heard it, i thought of the year 2010. it sounds like a 3OH!3 song, mixed with kelis, but this is all production wise. (melodically, its like bowie meets, well gaga's signature catchy hook choruses.)

I can see what you're saying

Being a fan of glitch and artists like Kid606 I definitely see that BTW is far more produced, but I also feel like ARTPOP is offering a lot!

BTW was an amazing influence and production, but she can't always have that kind of production. A lot of people thought it was messy, but I loved it.

I'd just love to see what other genres she can dip into and do them well, you know?

yeah true, it is very glitch, and i really grew an appreciation for production after born this way. ARTPOP didnt have to sound the same, but i do wish it was a little more interesting/detailed than it is. i need more madeon, more zedd, (good zedd, not "stay the night" zedd)

IMO it needs more Madeon and LESS Zedd

Someone please introduce Gaga and Giorgio Moroder, king of production

That'd be a smash with the combo of Giorgio/Madeon fuuuuuuuuuu

It's sounds pretty ****ing pristine to me. BTW's production was highly inventive and ambitious, but way overdone at points (the title track, for example).

Pretty sure there are a lot of things named after him

I know that he had his own label part of Casablanca records, and he helped to propel disco into mainstream, and helped Daft Punk with RAM

Plus he has over 200 Gold/Platinum (and multiplatinum) records under his belt, so I def would LOVE to see him work with Gaga since this is an innovative man who has seen it all, and Gaga is an artistic with a new vision, so I can see only big things coming from a duo

Plus, he was the first to pioneer recording a track before recording the vocals (extremely common if not the norm nowadays)
