There's a thing called "taste". And especially when the majority of music critics and audiences intensely disagree with what you said I don't even understand how you pretend that your opinion is the only one that matters

I just did  doesn't change the fact that Beyoncé's album is nothing outstanding

:megaflop: You did not just say that when Gaga was critically bashed for making such a basic album.

I love BEYONCE, It's probably the best album of 2013, doesn't mean that ARTPOP is not more complex.

Because the critics always get it right, and art is never reconsidered in hindsight.

Except if ARTPOP got 80+ on Metacritic everyone would say they were right :miley:

Of course they would... because they agree? Personally, I don't need or want a MC score to validate my opinion.

What I'm saying is that I think the critics' opinion should be kept out of general discussion. We have no idea who these writers are, what their musical preferences are, what personal agendas they had when approaching the material. For all we know, the majority of publications could have hired people who didn't care for pop music at all to review Gaga's album. Whatever the case may be, they have literally nothing to do with us.

I only said it because I expressed my confusion about Daft Punk/Kanye/Beyoncé not being included in the list and somebody just had to quote me saying that Beyoncé wasn't oustanding at all and that she just made "simple R&B" which I thought sounded hilarious since so many people (critics and fans alike) found ARTPOP to be basic.

I don't follow.
