You can have a performer on there that gets ratings, sure, great for you both... but what kind of idiotic mentality makes you think you can shoot down their ideas? The reason they get ratings is because of the impressive performances... Mtv clearly don't want an awards show, just a general tv show they can fully script and direct to push their certain characters. I'm really mad because performances by Gaga with a dance routine and some singing turn me away from her. Her creative mind keeps me hooked, it's what made her fans fans... if people are censoring that to the point of forcing generic performances... it's damaging her career. if this and other performances had just gone through as planned, ARTPOP would have had the attention it deserves. Zeus 33 Posted January 27, 2014 Share Posted January 27, 2014 Feel so bad for her that they didn't let her do it, not to mention I'm really disappointed cause it sounds like it would've been a great performance, possibly even one to contend against the vma paparazzi performance :(. It really does seem like during the whole ARTPOP era, she's had so many ideas and they've just either been squashed or blocked by others, resulting in her having to rush certain things and put out things that she either wasn't 100% happy with or wasn't her original idea. I wonder why? It's such a shame because I would've loved to see this performance. I wish they'd let both her and Miley share the night, because her red carpet idea sounded super interesting too. I just hope one day, perhaps with the next album (?) she'll really get the 'comeback' she deserves and put on an iconic comeback performance and have a night that is all about her, something like the meat dress vma night. There is no evidence that MTV refused Gaga because of Miley. They could have refused her because they didnt like the idea or whatever, but I guess some people just want to spread hate.
