Fire 0 Posted January 25, 2014 Share Posted January 25, 2014 Is anyone sort of nervous about how Gaga just seems to ultimately end up hiring the "assistants" of the big names she used to work with. Brandon was Nicola's assistant and when Nicola left he stepped in full-time. (I know Gaga says Nicola left earlier than he claims, but regardless of the timetable at some point this switch happened.) Now she hires Bobby, who used to work for Troy, after Troy's exit. It's sort of like she just keeps the ship running with whatever crew is left in the cabin instead of going out and finding the best person, possibly with a new or different creative vision. It doesn't mean they are "yes" men, that would be more likely if she was going outside and looking for them. It seems obvious that those who have been replaced willingly or not have all been de to lack of focus on Gaga. She wants people focused on her career not divided among a bunch of other interests. And Brandon, Bobby and Richy have more than just a professional relationship with gaga; they are also friends with gaga unlike Troy, Nicola and Boomkack who just worked with her just for the money and fame basically. This means that Brandon, Bobby and Richy will care more about gaga's art itself rather than about the profit it will bring to them (well, atleast, im hoping). Well no, Troy and Nicola were good friends with Gaga. Nicola and Gaga are still friends and he wasn't fired, just moved on to do his own projects. People don't understand that the reason their assistants are able to take their places is because their assistants were the ones who did the work to begin with. They're the ones who did the dirty work and are capable of taking over. Gaga wouldn't hire them if they weren't the ones responsible for most of the stuff anyways.
