SpaceAce 1,058
Normally I would, but I honestly couldn't hold back when you said a tribute to Carol King on the piano was against everything she stands for Right? Carole is one of her biggest influences, someone who helped make her. Our buddy Donatello wouldn't have Gaga at all let alone a theatrical Gaga. Dominic 11,922
If Gaga had performed a song from ARTPOP at a tribute show she would have been DRAGGED. Ego much? From what we can see it is an incredible performance. She may not be slinging that weave around or screaming about the gays but she did what she does best and that is just to sing. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it
J e s s e 454
I fücking can't at the idiots bashing this performance and saying this isn't her basically. Just......no comment. MelbHawker 6,583
Piano ballads is all Elton does. From start to finish of his career, that's what his fans were there for. Aside from GGD, even the world does not care for Gaga's ballads on a basic piano in a basic dress (Speechless had fire piano, You&I had motorcycle piano). Google 'gaga' and headlines are still stuck on the belieber thing. Let's not forget Dope's disastrous drop out rate in viewings at the YTA. She has no stage presence or wow factor like this. It's very plain. There's a reason she had to change from boring Stefani on a piano, to Lady Gaga setting hairspray on fire. I'm here for Lady Gaga who lives halfway between fantasy/reality. Stefani can gtfo and do this in her free time away from the screens. A million people can be Stefani on a piano, but only 1 person can be Lady Gaga. You don't understand Gaga or music at all based on what I've just read. You're a lost cause really.. some people just really don't get it. You also don't understand what a 'tribute' show is. I don't think the concept of it is that hard to grasp..

Guest
I bet the Grammy people in charge of scheduling artists to perform on the main show are jealous that this won't be on the telecast. Only like a 10 sec clip and I got chills. I really hope Gaga puts out an album like this. voice+lyrics+piano=yes yes yes. This
LaXian 25
Well ... How is it that the GP praised the performance and the fans are dragging her? What the what? Doesn't even make any sense! I swear I'm getting tired of all these fake stans on GGD ... Time for the mods to start a banning spree imo ... Only then can we start the real party ... mcoop 628
You sound ridiculous and uneducated. She received praise last night from all of the attendees and got a standing ovation. Carole King herself was moved by Gaga's performance. I know some of you have never heard of her before, but that's only because you're musically ingnorant. Nobody cares about what you're here for. Just because Gaga's acoustic talents aren't as appreciated by legions of dumb teens like her theatrics are, it does not make them any less credible or amazing. I don't understand the point of being demeaning towards her by calling her "Stefani". Last night it was Lady Gaga on the piano, whether you like it or not, and she blew people away. Clearly there is no way a million people can be Lady Gaga on a piano.
heavymlover 340
lmao did you really expect Gaga to sing Venus, shake her butt and throw confetti during a Carole King tribute? No, just no. There's a moment for everything, and this is not that moment.
TOSK 640
Please let Gaga do what she wants. Exactly, a million different people try to pull her a million different ways
djBuffoon 12,030
Poor Donatello being called out by everyone. Deservedly so. I'm sick of the negative crap tbh
MasterOfPuppets 170
Just so that i understand, what did you expect her to do ??? Sing Judas while drowning in fake blood on stage at a tribute concert for another artist just for the sake of theatrics ? ... she is as known for her piano performances as she is for her big performances... Batwings 12,851
Just reading some of the comments in this thread... There's too damn many fake "fans" on this forum, I swear... There's legitimate criticism, and then there's nitpicking and griping to the point of being absolutely ridiculous.
