Mason 209
i've yet to see it if there is, but I don't believe...isn't the story just that supposedly some fan met her backstage and she "said so" IDK.. I thought the story was that she was on chat like a day or two after she had talked about there possibly being two volumes and she said that it wasn't gonna happen. though at this point there is zero evidence backing either of those situations, so I'm taking it with a grain of salt. She never said it was a definite thing anyways lol
emiher 2
I'm just so ready for ARTPOP I'm so sick and tired of people reading too much into what's "leaked" on the Internet, all the trolling and people thinking anything Gaga puts a hash tag on is a Track name...#annoyed

Mills 446
So the duet with Elton John is now uncertain to make it on the final cut of ARTPOP?
nick4bty 2,758
That newsletter came from her official website? Dear lord. We don't even have a screenshot :toofunny:
Rollercoaster 2
OMG :D I love that the 2 volumes idea isn't scrapped. She's completed 50 or so songs, right? So imagine all the rest of the bits and bobs she has laying around ready to glue together into a carefully crafted song... we could end up with 5 volumes haha No, but seriously, I think the only thing that was in doubt from Gaga's side was the way in which the volumes would be separated. Should one be art and one be pop? Should one be ballads and the other upbeat? Should one contain one collection of producers and the other a different set of producers etc etc etc "Sometime in 2013" is double edged. Either that means they just don't have a date to reveal or it's been pushed back to later in 2013. I mean, January 2013 is a time in 2013 too, right? Meh. I want the wait to be over, but I know it's unlikely as she's touring... however... she does have a month break coming up, sooooo..... *randomly drops single and Rihanna's head explodes* LOL wut? mpthecat 928
After all this waiting I really don't want anything else just a release date; it's not the waiting that is killing me but the uncertainty. I want her to have time and energy to properly finish the album and to be satisfied with it.

I'm still keen on the volumes being two complete bodies of work, released far enough apart and each with their own singles. A second part to the first, not a yang to the formers ying or the art to it's pop. What excited me about the concept was that it seemed such a brilliant way to counteract her front-loaded success and aid campaign longevity, plus provide the more frequent injection of less music that seems to be so appropriate to todays market. Not to mention, she can update the second volume to be as current as possible when it drops and provide progression as opposed to 'more of the same' Commercially it's a no brainer to me. Twice the album sales. Twice the single success. Twice the era length. Done. In terms of when it's all coming in 2013, I still have a feeling the era will kick off in February. It's the most logical launch time for her with the promo opportunities, the lack of competition, the end of TBTWB in sight and the "new year freshness" she spoke of. When the album(s) will drop is more up in the air, I feel.

All the music media will cover it and give herr all the promo she needs and wants. I think the album will get similar treatment, it doesn't really need much promotion tbh. She should concentrate on performing album tracks on TV as opposed to releasing 'promo singles' or only peforming singles like with BTW. Make people go "****, I want that song". As for 2 volumes, I think she could be onto something really great here - she could potentially release various volumes of ARTPOP through her career if it works out to be popular as an era for her. Sort of like if she kept going off with an experimental album and then releases Monster volume 2, then another experimental, then another experimental, then Monster volume 3..... just a theme that keeps coming back, but the music style changes and stays up to date. As for ARTPOP now, I'd like it to be self referencing, a good mix of experimental and radio friendly... basically, like if she'd released "The Fame Monster 2.0" in November 2010. **** would've gone down "Hello, I'm Lady Gaga and I'm currently headlining the 500 date debut world tour, filling out stadiums worldwide. Your faves?"

Although, I'd recommend a Brit performance to win back the UK. I'm keen on ARTPOP beginning with her own "It's Britney Bitch". We've had "Gaga ooh la la", "I'm a free b---h, baby" and "I was Born This Way"...so we definitely need a kick ass phrase for the era that puts people in their place and introduces the 'gives no ****s' Gaga. I think Born This Way lacked a key phrase like that. TFM was packed with them - show me your teeth (with accompanying snarl), gaga ooh la la, I'm a free b---h baby.... and TF also had - although it wasn't meant to be a key phrase - Cherry cherry boom boom, RedOne haha Born This way had... erm... not alot. It had potential for some, though, like "I don't speak german"... but that's it... "I was born this way" appeared in a couple of songs, but wasn't really something you could reference or have merch without cringing IMO. Yes, I was born this way, but that's stating the obvious and it's like... no. I shall now make suggestions for Gaga: "Pick your pu$$y up off the floor" "fukc your face, fukc your life" "I am Lady Gaga and I'll rip your fukcing tits off, b---h" I prefer the last one. Seriously, though, she needs a tagline like that... during bad romance everybody was screaming "I'm a free b---h, baby" when it's in the song when played in clubs and stuff... Nobody will yell "Ooh there ain't no other way" or "I'm just a holy fool" or any of that crap. I suspect, had she released sh!t, that could've had a big following just for the opener, but there was too much...well...sh!t in the song to really hit radio and get out there. I suspect "bullsh!t be mine" could've been a tag line. Meh. The one thing from Cake that gets me is the shade to everyone she's throwing when talking about putting her diamond ring in your face. That bit is pretty epic and could easily translate into a Beyonce-style dance move to suit it, giving the same ingredients as Single Ladies... but in a totally different way... more like a catfight way... Infact, that's it. The ARTPOP era shall be tagged with the line "Diamond ring in your face" which shall appear in 70% of all the tracks. She doesn't give a fukc and she's sick of jealous b---hes. She could certainly play with the "gay slang" she's adopted. Kind of like how Madonna jacked Vogueing and took it mainstream. TEA is asking for a "and that's the truth tea, biiiiitch", and RATCHET could bring all sorts of shade.
Americano 31,061
The reason Britney's is so iconic is because it's so short and has her name in it. Saying I spill the tea b---h or something is not going to be iconic lol.

I want her to have time and energy to properly finish the album and to be satisfied with it. I agree. I hope the album turns out to be something like "Warrior" (dont bash me on this, as much as you want to disagree, the album is very cohesive and of course very catchy + commercial in a good way) I don't want ARTPOP to be like "Unapologetic", which is way too experimental. At this point in her career, she should know what she needs to do. There is a way where you can be play safe while still satisficing the fans, like what she did with TFM.
