MelbHawker 6,583
The more likely outcome with 1.5 million US first day sales and 1.7 million fIrst day sales in the rest of the world. I believe the album will finish the week with 3.2 million worldwide sales. Calm your boobies! She will not get 3.2 million sales by the first week of release :dies: Edited November 3, 2012 by MelbHawker
AnglerfishbraBENUS 5,734
I wonder if the ARTPOP app will be a Vessel for Monsters to vote for which songs should go on which volume? everyone is so confused about the app. The app will BE The album. But a more interactive version. Edited November 3, 2012 by whipopotamus
Coldplay 217
She said she will release de second one 6 months after the first one release When she release the second one she can re-release the first one. That way both will count as one disc and the sales won't be separated.
Rollercoaster 2
ARTPOP #1: Commercial, radio friendly songs Potential for supermassive mega hits Who will buy? Monsters & General public who like the lead single(s) Potential sales? 9M+ I base that figure on BTW sales of 8M so far despite not being radio friendly and being over in a relatively quick time. The people that bought that album are more than likely to buy the next, plus a few fans she made along the way with the tour, and, indeed, the general public if they like the lead single/s. ARTPOP #2: Experimental, artistic songs, non-commercial Potential for one of those "What the **** is this?" hits Who will buy? Monsters, and some fans she makes with #1 Potential sales? 7M+ This is based on BTW, her non-commercial album. If an album FULL of non-single material can get a sales figure of 8M, then a shorter version should have no problems. Also, there is the sales tactic of getting people hooked with Volume 1 and they have an overwhelming natural urge to complete the set. Nobody ever goes into a supermarket wanting one loaf of bread, and resis the urge to get 3 because it's buy 2 get one free... I mean... they bought 3 times they amount they need and STILL spent more. This is a typical sales tactic that almost always works. Good thinking, Gagz. So, when all's said and done, I'd estimate the sales for ARTPOP as a whole to be around 18M which isn't too shabby. She can buy 5M copies herself (you know, those tactics... looking at you, XL) and she'll have one of the biggest albums of all time. Bam bam.
Rollercoaster 2
When she release the second one she can re-release the first one. That way both will count as one disc and the sales won't be separated. This is what happened with TFM in the UK. Basically, we got TFM free if we bought The Fame again packaged in the re-release lol. 7Days 7
LOL at those who predict huge sales for ARTPOP when people barely buy music The Fame + The Fame Monster (Deluxe Edition) sold 15 million together The Fame Monster EP sold 3-4 million - together TF & TFM EP sold ~19 million = 9.5 million per album (2 albums) - *note that TFM was still on charts when BTW was released. Born This Way sold between 6-7 million - *note after a few months from its release BTW disappeared from charts. ARTPOP - I think it will sell between 5-6 million (Vol. 1), and 8-9, maybe 10 million together with Vol. 2. Optimus 298
The Fame + The Fame Monster (Deluxe Edition) sold 15 million together The Fame Monster EP sold 3-4 million - together TF & TFM EP sold ~19 million = 9.5 million per album (2 albums) Gurl, TF+TFM sold 15M overall TF sold 10M. Gerrard174 679
Well i think if ARTPOP is more commercial than BTW, it can pull at least 10m. Volume 1: 6-7m without re-release Volume 2: another 5-6m
7Days 7
Gurl, TF+TFM sold 15M overall TF sold 10M. TFM-5 Wait, TFM EP sales goes to TF+TFM??? ...because in US TF+TFM is certified 4x Platinum for 4.5 million copies sold and the EP is certified Paltinum with 1.5 million copies sold so it's considered a different release. Also in Australia, France, Japan, Finland, Denmark, Sweden TFM is considered a standalone release not a re-release so the sales shouldn't go to TF....I'm so confused. I wish Gaga never done this re-release tbh. :fail:
Rollercoaster 2
Look, if people are willing to buy BTW and stick with her through that then they'll buy ARTPOP too. Both volumes. That's already 16M. Factor in those that will buy because it's radio friendly and why wouldn't it be 2m? Nobody will ever have a sales figure for tfm because of the packaging. In Europe it counted as +1 for Monster and +1 for Fame, because technically one purchase got you 2 albums. Cray.
