Hence why TFM did so well and Telephone peaked at number 1 without the second single strategy. Better material will make way more of a difference so to me, it really doesn't matter if she releases 1 or 2 singles before the album. If I had to choose, then she would release just 1 single before the record, but that's just my personal preference. I don't want the album released in pieces. I want to be able to enjoy the full product when the album is officially released (discarding the 1st single obviously). I mean we already had like what, 5 songs before BTW leaked? It kinda ruined the album release for me. The difference is that TFM didn't sell as well as BTW in its first few weeks, so people who owned Telephone already were minimal compared to the next album. TFM was a slow burner, but constant, where as BTW meant people immediately had the song already. 2 singles is a good idea because it hypes the album and allows for big sales, but only if they're actually good. 1 single before the album reduces the chances of future hits. Promo singles are a ridiculous idea, though, but I'd hazard a guess that Gaga's album tracks have sold more as stand alone downloads than anyone elses album tracks lol Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

She would just release it in December and benefit from the holiday sales. I think the album is coming February. Never BTW, Judas and TEOG though... Although I hear MTN all the time. Poor Colby, I bet he's filthy stinking rich from that song, though. As for the album, I've been thinking... Some people want an EP towards the end of next year in order to keep the era going and to increase excitement for new material... This leads me to believe people don't like the idea of a 3-stage release, but in reality they'd LOVE it more than life. Drip feed us that album, 'Ga. Single in October, Single in January, Album in January Single in March, Single in June, Album in July Single in September, Single in December, Album in December They all culminate to the full release (with 5-6 more songs) in December and it becomes one of the biggest selling albums of all time - technically, the entire project would have EP/Album combined sales under the same title of around 6M + 6M + 6M = 18M or more! Not in 2013. She can keep ARTPOP going for a year (Hell, even BTW album lasted about a yearish). If she spaces out the singles she'll be fine. But I wouldn't mind a 2014 add-on.
