I feel like people are forgetting the most important thing here: Gaga had major hip surgery in February. That's a life-altering event, not just physically but emotionally, too. I think the most likely scenario is that ARTPOP was scheduled for release right after the BTWB ended, and when she had the hip surgery, she was probably forced to postpone the album for half a year or more, on doctor's orders. That must be why we went from getting little bits of hype and info in 2012, to absolutely nothing since February 2013. Perhaps the reason she stopped hyping is because she didn't even know when she would have the physical ability to promote the album... More likely this... Here I was convinced she was this super-woman who wouldn't give up on her fans and would at least have the decency to let her "precious fans" know how she's doing? I'm starting to understand what Jo Calderone said now even more "it's like she can't even stand to have ONE REAL MOMENT WITH ME!" It's not that I'm craving the bottle feed off my "mummy monster", but she did set herself up big when she wrote born this way ... she admits herself that she had to become this completely new open and sharing person but I honestly think she didn't consider the repercussions because now all we expect from her is communication which she is more than vigorously trying to destroy. Don't talk hips, she had that surgery nearly 5 months ago, and in the past 2 she's been back on 6 inch heels ... she's not hurting anymore but the die-hard stanners are ... we're the ones who need a f*cking wheelchair. GAGAXABO 390 Posted June 25, 2013 Share Posted June 25, 2013 I'm gonna re-post my opinion for the 100th time, but in these discussions, I think it can contribute I think the reason that she was hyping ARTPOP (because, yes, she was) was because she wanted to share the process with us. Obviously she was very excited that her new project was materializing, and maybe she felt like she had to give fans something to look forward to during the "tour era", because, well, she knew there were no new music video's or anything coming and she was on that supposed media blackout, so all she could do was talk about the Born Brave Bus and her new project. So why did she stop sharing information? That is the question. Some people say it's because she saw fans getting crazy and she thought: "Oops. Erm, guys. ARTPOP isn't coming until late 2013, so I'll just shut up before they hype themselves into death." Another option is that she wanted to change the entire concept and knew that it would take a lot longer than she planned, which convinced her to stop talking to her fans altogether. I don't know why she stopped hyping ARTPOP and I hope she will explain it when it does get released. We do deserve to know, but what we don't deserve is to b---h like whining little kids, because in the end she does what she wants and we're just the fans, only there to enjoy her work, pay money for it, so she can move on and give us more. THAT'S ALL. That's what she does; tweet once a month and then go back into hibernating; Don't expect more for another month, she's not coming back. DIS B1TCH IS ON MATERNITY LEAVE. I hate to be 'that guy' but if you think that Gaga fighting for marriage equality was simply a ploy for the BTW era then you are sadly mistaken. She's made it abundantly clear that marriage equality is extremely important to her and she truly believes that it is a necessary thing.
