Yeah, it's obvious that a lot of songs have been written in multiple ways .. a lot of artists do it ... they write a song surrounding an original theme then see if they can top it (honest eyes-brown eyes)

If you listen to the lyrical content of dirty ice cream you can hear the similar kind of lyric theme (my boyfriend is too attached to me "stop calling, st-stop calling" you're doing my head in, I just wanna party etc. etc.) She clearly saw that this song had a basic enough structure to be a britney song and so wrote the same theme into Telephone for Britney .. notice telephone's lack of full-body singing, more same note melodies and dancey background cos that fits britney better - lots of eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh" but then she ended up singing it herself and it became a hit because she made it her own :)

dirty ice cream was re-written as Telephone for the fame monster but it was originally intended for the fame and I personally love the song

nothing beats Sexy/Ugly though!

I think your information is false....Where in the world did you hear that from? :awkney:

It's just like saying Judas sings "I'm just a holy fool..." and Electric Chapel says "Follow me don't be such a holy fool...."....similar lyrical writing, but completely different songs. :reductive:

don't be dirty ice cream, baby we could fall in love but, it's too early to be calling me like that, stop calling, st-stop calling

stop calling! stop calling! i don't wanna think anymore, i left my head and my heart on the dancefloor

but we've only been on one date baby, yeah, and it was fun till you start acting crazy, i dont really find it very cute or s-xy, when you call or insistently t-t-text me

not that i don't like you i'm just at a party, and i am sick and tired of my phone r-ringing, sometimes i feel like i live grand central station, tonight i am taking no calls cause i'll be dancing

they follow the same lyrical theme of "you're p*ssing me off, im turning my phone off you insecure stalkerish clingy creep.

no, because that's just similar lyrics, not a full song dedicated to the same lyrical theme

I think you'll find you can find similar lyrical themes with a lot of unreleased gaga songs and the ones that actually make the cut. It's easier for artists to write 2 songs about the same thing and pick the best one ... that's how they do soo well

Honest Eyes became Brown Eyes
Sexy/Ugly became Beautiful Dirty Rich
Sometimes became Eh, Eh
Dirty Ice Cream became Telephone
No Floods became Black Jesus

songs like Ribbons and Let Love Down just died away, but I'm POSITIVE you'll find songs with the same message in future work by her :)
