:wtf: I'd rather hear Gaga then calling her my mom. People take that way to far and say stuff like Don't offend my mom. Um she is not your mother, it is not unique, it is just wrong.

Well meh....maybe if you look at it literally. I'm not sure how wrong Gaga thinks it is though, considering she refers to herself as Mother Monster in the BTW video ;) .  I've just always thought of it as a way of artistically uniting the fans.  But to each their own.

you really cant blame the fanbase for her making songs like hair and bad kids, thats all on gaga.

although for the record im not putting down her being a philanthropist. i just wasnt completely into how she executed her message through her music with a portion of the album

I think she had a message to give, and she gave it in her own way.  I think it's beautiful and commendable.  I don't think BTW was created to sell singles.  By the way, I mean no disrespect with this post, just commenting on how I personally think Gaga viewed the music on BTW.

i find they are! lol i think what makes me so defensive is the fact that i have to defend born this way from so many on here. i shouldnt even have to, her discography is meant to be diverse, so the fact that i even have to defend born this way form anyone just....ugh lol.

I sense some sassy tea spilling. But cutting right down to it, it sometimes bothers me too.  I understand people are going to have a difference in opinion and no one HAS to like something someone else does, but it does make me a little disappointed when people criticize and make fun of something she worked so hard on and put so much passion into. Especially when sometimes I don't think they quite grasp why she did some things the way she did on the album.  I just look at the album as a representation of freedom through Gaga's eyes and I think the album represents it well.  One example being how sometimes there are criticisms made about the vocal quality on the album which is understandable, like I said everyone has a different opinion, but I think she recorded it like that because it was raw and honest while feeling the freedom of the road as the bus drove down the highway.  It didn't have to sound perfect, because the message isn't about being flawless.  It's about loving who you are, the way you are, and being able to be whatever you want to be.  Hope this doesn't sound like a rant guys...I really tried to word it so it didn't.  Love ya!   :kisses:

Some people are complaining about BTW's longetivity and how it fizzled out too fast, but here you go, almost two years after the album, dissecting it and seeing what went wrong and what went right

I love how 2 years after its release BTW still polarises opinion, that was its point, she wanted to strike a nerve with her music and her lyrics and she'll do it again with AP my friends so buckle up.

The receipts of its success are widely documented.

Yes you can complain about the quality of production and vocal mastering but its in the past so move on please. Listen to Zedd or Madeon and you'll soon see that the clarity of the sonics are perfect so don't keep getting your knickers in a twist.

Gaga plays with the art of fame. The reason shes disappeared completely and she doesn't want her photo taken is because this is her down time (re-watch the Oprah interview) and its been prolonged due to injury.

Plus, I thought that with ARTPOP Gaga would stay away from those types of events. The fact that she doesn't even tweet and takes on a more "I'm an artist"-persona (so far, don't know what will happen after ARTPOP is released) made me think she would promote it in very special ways and not by performing on a lame-ass show like the VMA's :pukey:

I don't know. I feel like with ARTPOP she'll rise to a new height. Going to crappy awards is like falling down into the ash instead of rising from it tbh :awkney:

Oh I so agree with that. And I personnally really think she will use the app to promote everything. I'm kinda sensing that it will be available before the song actually. So that people will actually give the app experience a chance, if only to get the song first hand, and know that it comes out as an app. Maybe just a standard background teaser picture (like the BTW jacket bared-ass one) with a vague musical background à la Fame fragrance ad and a simple countdown. Then when the countdown ends, an update and the app becomes a streaming of the song and links to buy it everywhere.

If she tweets again, her next tweet could be to download the app. Unexpected and out of the blue but not quite as radical as the song directly.

It also got me thinking of how she could promote the whole ARTPOP experience and not just a song and not just talk about it on a talk show, but present it completely. I got really delusional a few pages back about her wearing a complete face mask (possibly an extent of the video glasses of The Fame era) and having a deal with Nasa to be linked to internet at all times.

If that does become reality, it would be really unbelievable if her mask had a camera, so that you could be with her through the app while she promotes it or does whatever. (Not 24/7 obviously)

If she goes to the VMA, you'll get the VMA performance on MTV and at the same time her point of view while performing, on the app. Same for a live interview. Hell, she can even make a performance herself in her own world and stream it through the app.

We know she created glasses of that type for Polaroid when she worked for/with them, the Google glasses are on their way too. She also had a webcam on her shoulder once when she went out after the Monster Ball. We all know how much she loves McQueen and Showstudio. McQueen was the first to stream his show live through internet, it was the premiere of Bad Romance as a matter of fact.

This project was a partnership with Showstudio, who make a lot of livestream of shoots and of guest artists creating a project. Iris Van Herpen created a water dress for Daphne Guinness a month or so ago, and it was absolutely amazing to follow every step of the creation. From the first reference shoot, through the making, all the way to the final shoot. Gareth Pugh did a 3 day live stream of him making a dress too.

Also, don't forget that Gaga herself streamed quite a few of the Fame fragrance launches recently, most notably her performance piece at the Guggenheim museum. :lolgaga:

ARTPOP is all about Internet and connections and interactivity. There's a possibility that while she's not sharing with us at all lately, we might be with her all through the ARTPOP era. (Well, for a song era)

It might be just camera glasses, or camera on her outfit. But if she paired it with the hiding her face thought I had, it would be much more powerful. The camera would not be on her, but on her, you wouldn't see her face but you could be her, experience what she's experiencing. See through her eyes. The new Gagavision. :ohwell:

Anyway, I think it could be a good concept, whether she does it or not. It could bring down that barrier of popstar/public and popstar/media. (Cause she would become the media, and the public would become the popstar)

Well everything you've said is true, but we gotta understand that her label wants profit, and its not like they made a HUGE profit with BTW...

They have her for like 2 more albums(or 3, not sure), and you can't blame them for wanting to take advantage with it...

I mean, she said she'll rise like a phoenix from the ashes with this album, that this is maybe her best album so far, etc... That may ALL be true, but don't expect from her not to go to the award shows, not to promote all sorts of products..Its just business  ;)

Hey guys,

Gagadaily won't let me post :(

I'm trying to write a small feature article about gaga being MIA and all the speculation. And I'd really appreciate if you could leave me your thoughts about everything in just a few sentences. Not the VMA stuff, but everything as a whole.

Thankyou
