Michael 533
you have misunderstood my intentions. When new music comes out i'll prove you wrong and mark my post. I doubt that very much but thanks for your input.
SomethingMore 1,701
Tbh I would like Gaga to premiere her single on the VMAs but why do they have to be in September???' :(
Michael 533
For the first time since she released Just Dance we as a fanbase are facing a real break between the album cycles. Bad Romance was released as a lead single off The Fame Monster just a couple of month after Paparazzi reached No.1 on the Pop Songs Chart in the USA. Born This Way was put out just 2 weeks after the Monster Ball Tour ended in Mexico. It has just been 2 months since the Born This Way Ball got cancelled! Just 2 effin month and some people are already going crazy! I think Gaga deserves some patience and to expect something before summer could be a useless waist of hope. ARTPOP is not just an album, it's clear Gaga is preparing a project which goes beyond an application, music and videos. It's something else, can't actually guess what exactly. The album is not hyped at all among the general public - that's a huge improvement from the Born This Way promo strategy. But it doesn't work: fans started hyping everything for themselves, and the level of anticipation on this forum sometimes even seem to exceed what took place here in January 2011. I think Gaga needs some support from fans, because people seem to underestimate how dramatic the tour cancellation was for her. Gaga puts really much creative power, thoughts and feelings into her show, so that it eventually becomes her "baby". Did you see Terry pics from after the last Monster Ball show in Mexico? She wasn't crying, she had some sort of hysteria according to some people from her stuff, because she was that upset the tour was over. And know she is forced to end it due to health problems - that's twice as painful. Aside from that, her grandfather died and the surgery issues seem to influence the timing of ARTPOP recording sessions. That's the time she needs some backup. So let's stay positive about the future, as her music career has really much more to say, and appreciate every moment of this journey. Cause it's likely that after the ARTPOP tour (if there is gonna be one) she will take a serious brake and focus on personal life, marriage and all those sorts of things.

JgHaus78 1,960
I've been a monster since 2008.. I didn't float in during Born This Way because it saved my life or something. To those people who were truly inspired by the album that's wonderful. But I get tired of people on here demanding a continuation of Born This Way and it's spoonfed sermons. Gaga wanted to make an album for her fans that needed help believing in themselves because it was something she struggled with too. I think we all have at some point but that chapter is over. done. The Born This Way era will live on through the foundation. ARTPOP is going to be a rebirth for her.. leaving the past behind and starting fresh. She has said this all along and even made it more apparent with her rising from the ashes like a phoenix statement. So really we know nothing other than we have an app to accompany it and a few song titles and producers. It's not going to be TF/M or BTW.. its going to be a new beginning. They are bringing in Zedd and Madeon for a new sound. She wants to start over... If I must say TFM will always be more potent and groundbreaking in my opinion because she was riding the Paparazzi era high. Fresh off the VMA 09 performance and she really took the world by the neck and said THIS IS WHO THE **** I AM.. The music was more relatable to me because I dont have self esteem issues. I know who I am and what I like and anyone who doesn't like it can get over it... TFM message was arrogance and greed and passion. BTW was about I can make it.. I will make it.. I am going to make it because I can be stronger. Lets move on past that like we did from the transition of TFM to BTW.. not BTW 2.0 ..... I have had to adjust to the messages and I've been a fan since 08... BTW stans that arrived late to the party should be made to adapt as well. this^^^^^^ :worship2: :worship2:  :dead:
JgHaus78 1,960
What was most interesting for me with BTW was that every song on it has different theme and meaning and they all were musically different from each other and, like if you take for example Bloody Mary you could easy make a whole album exploring it's theme (hence reality meets fantasy). BTW was different from her past work in that very way, with TF, TFM you had one clear and particular theme and all the songs were following it even some of them had their own themes they were still connected with the main one and then it come BTW where she just liberated herself as artist and musician and she was just FREE (I remember in her SHOWStudio interiew (when she was writing and making BTW) she explained her music being FREE). - - - If I could make any predict about ARTPOP I could say that I think this will be her "returning to the game" album in way that she will REINVENT herself not in a way as selling out and returning to her previous more commercial stuff. And her describing the album as "phoenix rising from the ashes" and being TFM's little sister is really interesting. If you take her 3 albums and put if in the order 1)BTW 2)TF 3)TFM and then add 4)ARTPOP, You'll see that this will look like 4 chapters from book.Starting with her BTW and her first song from it MTN, she many times said that she felt that she wrote this song way before she become famous etc. and that the song is about excepting your past and moving on/rebirthing and then come BTW as song she is "BORN", she is the artist she want to be and know what to do then it comes TF she climbing on the hill of FAME and she's becoming more and more successful but then come TFM her "FEARS" what could THE FAME do to her and how she "SOLD" her soul to THE FAME and how she is "LIVING DEAD" and eventually her OLD is gone. And she fell of the edge of the hill and comes ARTPOP her "REBIRTH" from The MONSTER of FAME and her REINVENTING the past - BTW - which is she becoming the artist and person who she wants to be not who the fame wants her to be. what you think ... stahp. the feels are overflowing :dead:
vladstef 0
I am not one of those ungrateful people, but I wouldn't like it if Gaga didn't release ARTPOP by mid-september, she would kill all my imaginations. I am going to Italy (Gaga's origin) then, (10h drive) and if I can't listen to new music while driving...that would be bad for my dreams. :jono:

hausofaxel 16
It's hands-down her best-received album critically. I don't even see how you can argue with that... it's not even an opinion at this point, it's a cold, hard fact. In addition to it being the near-unanimous fan-favorite, two of the most obvious music-review-aggregator sites gave TFM the highest score out of all of Gaga's works (as well as countless other highly-esteemed critics) http://www.metacritic.com/person/lady-gaga http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/13823-the-fame-monster/ You're obviously entitled to your (perfectly valid) personal opinion about the quality of the album, though! The critics just don't agree with you. These are the types of posts I like to see "Luv U Sum" is clearly Gaga's unreleased masterpiece But they're critics for a reason? They're trained to see the quality in music beyond "oh this is catchy" or "oh this sounds good" You’re right, they’re good at spotting skilled musicians. hausofaxel 16
So, when Gaga references Greek classical art in her BTW video, do you think that's for the 15-yeard old GGD fans too? Music critics are not definite in any sense, but calling TFM flaw-free is a dangerous statement when you don't call it your opinion. That's all There are fans who do appreciate more than catchy songs, trust me.
