Guille 1,073
About the whole Burqa thing. Those saying that it is too racy, do you know Gaga at all? When has she ever taken the easy way? She always takes risk. And if an artist wants to be remembered, they have to be brave and take risks, its happened with all the legends. I said before that Im not a big fan of the title Burqa, but you know what, if Gaga wants it as a single or whatever, I will be standing beside her and buying in on itunes to support her.
garnite 8
I found this on the net  I know this may be fake, but it still seems kinda legit. It may be from some photoshoot, or it just is professionally photoshoped... But it still slays do you really think it looks like her? Gerrard174 676
I think a good bit of promo would be to suddenly drop the lead single on iTunes with a tweet "surprise, little monsters" around the beginning of January. Release the video 2 weeks later after teasing it with screenshots like Alejandro and telephone. In mid February, put out 15 second snippets of some tracks on ARTPOP. This happens during the Grammy show. Mid March, Gaga should put out a YouTube video designed as promo for single 2. Like the Scheiße snippets. Late March, Gaga releases single 2 and starts a 24 hour countdown to the video release. The week after single 2, Gaga puts out a video compilation which includes 15 different songs. It lasts 3 minutes. The end of the video shows a mid April release date. Album is released 3 weeks after single 2. Single 1 isn't important. If people get a new gaga track its slaying the chart. Should be a party anthem that people will appreciate though. Maybe drop in some dance moves to the lyrics like bloody Mary. Single 2 is very important. Needs telephone bpm and feeling of "omg I need to dance so much!". It will be the determining single for album success. 2 singles = 2 huge hits. No promo single releases because that's silly. Jeff has already confirmed that the US tour will have new music. I doubt she'd miss the opportunity to test perform. I love your planning tbh. 2 singles before album should get her at least 2 huge hits because her song can sell well base on her name only. If the songs are good then they will smash hard. 2nd single is the determinant, i agree. 2nd single should be the best song of the album, smash hit like Poker Face or Bad Romance. I would say release a commercial party dance track as lead (like Die Young, but not as silly as that) to win back the radio support, then release a second single ala Poker Face. Then she can release the riskier songs as 3rd or 4th single idc
Guest
do you really think it looks like her? I was confused about that picture too, she doesn't look like she's really Gaga, but maybe the shot was taken from a really weird perspective or something... I don't know.
DIVA 666
Listen to something logical. Singles that are released before the album release are those that have the potential to chart high, why? cuz fans and non-fans buy them, while singles that are released after, have a small chance to chart high cuz almost all the fans already know the song and they got it on an album, they're not gonna re-buy the single. This is what happens with me and I'm sure I'm not the only one. The era starts wihen the first single or promotional single drops, not when the album is released ! Thank goodness someone actually points this out. I've been thinking it from the beginning and have tried to point it out and no one listens. The only reason the BTW singles didn't do as well as people hoped was because when everyone bought the album they no longer needed to buy the single. They already owned it, leaving just the GP to purchase them , which is a HUGE slash to the sales. Now if it's someone like Rihanna, who has ****ty album sales, it leaves a lot of room for people to purchase individual singles. Same with Katy, and Nicki. This is the difference between an album artist and a singles artist. This same concept is why BTW album sales dropped so dramatically after the first week. All the fans rushed out to get the album, resulting in huge first week sales, and then it quickly fell due to mass purchases. We're all Stronger Together! JudasInTheDark 3
That's how I always feel. Especially when BTW came out. I always feel like ARTPOP will stray away from pop and be more electronic while still having pop routes. Idk I'm sure ill love ARTPOP either way. I like things a little different anyway. TEANUS 14,963
No more two singles before release please. No promo singles either, that was so messy. I think she could have two singles before the album if they are good choices cough*not like Judas* and the second one comes like a week before the album. Because by then people are drooling over the album almost being here so the get it to hold them off a little bit more British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS
