If ARTPOP sounds like this, I would not be dissapointed. I'm sure it's gonna be great and we'll only find out what it sounds like when it finally gets released.

I hope to dear god it's true that Edit Piaf is sampled on 'Ratchet'. And I want so badly for Azealia to remain on the track!

If she does that, the album will be dead by the end of july! Single after single is what works these days.. We don't need her to be the next Adele tbh

I thought the issue with Born This Way's success was that she released too many singles, and had too much promotion I thought this era should be a little bit slower because people (non fans) at my school, said they hope she slows down with the singles....a lot people said they just couldn't keep up during the BTW era,

No. The issue was hair and teog coming out and her performing them when she should have promoted Judas alone. The thing to avoid is sticking out 4 singles in the chart at the same time. Let them breathe. Born this way stayed in the chart for ages.

Aren't singles typically released on quarter-year increments? Like 3 to 4 months between them?

I agree that there should be no promotional singles for ARTPOP as that can cause some confusion. But the thing that happened between Judas and TEOG was inevitable and necessary to keep the album's name afloat at such a critical time (nearing its release). No matter what anyone says, Interscope knew Judas was going to tank when they saw how negatively the public reacted to the religious theme of the song. What happened to Judas was unfortunate, but by no means was releasing TEOG a bad idea.

That said, they need to be really smart with single choices next era so that releasing one right after the other won't be necessary. Gaga and Interscope need to monitor both fan and general public tastes to evaluate which singles will stand on their own and which won't.

Also know that without a relrease or a second volume, ARTPOP will inevitably die by the end of 2013. It's natural. The Fame-The Fame Monster era lasted so long because the EP kept the name afloat. People tend to not realize this when they compare The Fame's longevity to Born This Way's.

I'm really hoping the new album will be smart. Not just mature smart, but clever smart, witty smart, b---hy smart, just smart.

My expectations are probably highest in its intelligence.

3 points in and ready for more

I love how Gaga says that the single won't be coming out in january and that she needs to get the vocals just right. It is now december 1st that gives her one month to re-record/edit the vocals for the first single. Monsters need new music!

I would be shocked if Gaga let the Grammys slip on by. She loves using award shows as a promotional platform. If she didn't then, what other big platform could she promote on? Only think I can think of is singing shows like American Idol and The Voice but that wouldn't be until April/May.

Am I the only one that thinks Gaga will release either the artwork, release date for album and/or single this month, release the the lead single next month, and perform at the Grammys?
