I know - source: go this info from someone who knows someone at Universal Music - that the record company has ARTPOP scheduled for Q2 :( that's like june or may :eww:

Well I know someone whose second cousin, twice removed's uncle's father works at Universal Music and they said that the single has been scheduled for January.

:troll:

Not but really, that hardly sounds like a reliable source, though I wouldn't doubt it at this point lol.

The subject matter is unique in a way. Most pop songs about clubbing revolve around going out, seeing some guy with pants bulge and trying to get him to stick it in you. Gaga/Beyonce sang about the opposite subject. they don't want no dik.

cuz bayonse can get gags's dik tbh :laughga:

i dont see anything wrong with Telephone lyrics

it was meant to be a fun song and tbh the lyrics was written well enough for a radio single.

Dont u guys think too much when dealing with lyrics?

in order to smash ww, gaga better write some easy-understand lyrics so to speak.

im from asia and i know that pretty well. Song with great metaphorical phrases and lyrics that hard to make sense are not favoured by GP. That's why songs like WHYB can smash hard becausw the lyrics were simple enough

I'm not asking for mouthfuls of poetic complexity on released singles, I just want her to pull out something interesting on a dance track. She was pretty much successful in doing that with Poker Face and Bad Romance.

"stop calling, I left my head and my heart on the dance floor" are actually really good lyrics in terms of portraying emotion in a pop song. I always felt that part was near perfection.

Then there's the BPM and the fact that if you play it really loud and dance you will rave your feet off because that song is freakin' hyper.

I was complaining more in terms of subject matter- is nobody bored of hearing about the club yet?! Kudos for highlighting the best part of the song but the rest of it is as dull as it gets. And I get that the speedy and high-energy aspect of the music sort of demands very digestible lyrics. I just don't understand how people are saying they don't want ARTPOP to mean much at all.

I can't stand collabs with rappers. Maroon 5's Payphone was the perfect example. Wiz Khalifa ruined what would have been an otherwise good song. If Gaga's just gonna take that song and stick it on her album, that doesn't say much about her "creative process," does it? I do not want to see her just sticking songs on the album that weren't meant for the album. I don't see why that means I have to get over myself.

Comparing Wiz Khalifa to Kendrick Lamar is like comparing Lady gaga to Rebecca black.

Haha. Disagree. Perhaps comparing Jay-Z or Kanye to Kendrick is like comparing Gaga to Rebecca Black, but Wiz Khalifa isn't at that degree of quality or popularity.

Those hoping for a lack of metaphor are stanning for the wrong b---h.

Telephone is a song with a feminist message at its core.

Other examples of her party songs with underlying meaning are Just Dance, which was a very sad song really, the edge of glory, bad romance...

Basically, Gaga doesn't write anything shallow. Ever.

Except maybe the PETA favourite "shake your kitty" haha

But what's wrong with generic songs and lyrics? That's what I'm saying! Her easy-to-understand lyrics, and her generic pop songs are her biggest hits! And her best IMO. (Besides Bad Romance) Everyone complained that BTW "flopped" because of how it wasn't really fit for the GP and how it wasn't generic enough to be a huge hit. But then you wanna complain about how you don't want her new music to be generic because you don't like that style of music. But generic and easy to understand and easy to dance to, is what makes hits. I'm a super fan and all, but I also like what the GP likes.

I've never complained about BTW flopping because it didn't, so this doesn't apply to me

It's about the hard life of a Russian peasant during and/or after the 1917 revolution, only personified through a cat alá Aristocats. Of course.

Lies. It's about stopping the crazy cat lady phenomenon. If you see a pretty woman, don't let her collect cats, shake your cats to death to prevent an epidemic of cat collecting women. Bam.

I firmly believe in my interpretation, but that sounds pretty legit.
