I hate all collabs tbh, I want solo songs and that`s too many collabs I prefer her solo songs, but I like seeing what another artist has to bring to the table and how well they and Gaga connect. I sighted Avatar as inspiration for colouring, because of the ultraviolet & fibre optic parts. After the revelation of her fibre optic creation and the news of lava lamp shoes... I don't think I saw this particular idea of yours, but I like it. Avatar was visually impeccable, and I think Gaga would be able to rock something in that vein. BrilliantBoi 1 Posted September 7, 2012 Share Posted September 7, 2012 Has anyone wondered why she hasn't done more things like her Jazz songs or more things that would provide legitimacy to her from older people or people who look at her as though she's only a pop tart performer? It's mostly because she probably doesn't care about their opinions. She's slowly unraveling her skill set, but it is not to "prove" herself in that way. I think that this album will have some unique vocal qualities as well as some Jazzy sounding things. I think that she is building up to this due to her gradual (screwing up) or improvising of songs during her shows lately. She's been really off the cusp and as we all know, she starts at a certain point each tour and album, and then consistently adds things and tweaks things. The fans on stage started in Australia (because Asian fans are crazy as hell tbh, JK JK), and eventually ended the show with her and then it became two and then four recently lol. The vocals have shifted about the same frequency. Gaga is singing with much more range and consistency than when the show started (for reasons related to practice/regimen but as well as aesthetic). The "house" that is her castle stage has been continuously "renovated" and is being added to as if it is her real house, and I take it as a statement that it IS her house, and that is the meaning. Her house is her work, and she does not need one in real life-she added a bed, paintings, etc, and will probably add more to it. She's basically opened up all of her skills (vocal and piano) to a much fuller extent during the tour, and her keytar skills are mind blowing. So, with all of these parallel levels growing, they must be leading to something more? (This is how I felt with Born This Way, but it in fact affected me a different way than I thought it would). Born This way was intentionally censored with sounds or just edits except for bull**** in Scheiße, and the album booklet had black bars that were similar to the nude scenes in MTN video. Why would she do this? The album cover appeared as though she was enraged and also entrapped in some way. But yet, she was "Born This Way." The anthem of an album about self love and expression and proclamation. Perhaps it was a statement about how she felt but couldn't/wouldn't express quite yet. With ARTPOP, how I feel is that she no longer feels shackled in any way, and now that she's proclaimed herself and what she is in her own way, she can now go out and become it fully. She's always suppressed her true skills. We all know this. Is it a statement about her insecurities, or a gradual thing she wanted to happen? Is it something like she wanted to be more rudimentary before she exposed more of her raw talent? I believe it is all of this. Her true singing skills and piano skills have mostly been showcased in performances with Yoko Ono or things that the mass majority of people might not witness. See also: Tokyo Park Hyatt Hotel. Stuff only Monsters would see, you know? I feel that ARTPOP is exactly what it says, she's going to break her skills out fully and apply art to pop.
