When that song came out it was a game changer with the heavy beats and the way Gags was singing it and the Lyrics. Just because everyone else followed after like rihanna with Birthday Cake doesn't mean Bad romance was even close to Generic, its offensive tbh. Thank you. She thought Born This Way would have done better, and sometimes she is a little egotistic and naive BUT ARTPOP sounds like it will slay and she knows it. Mega Hit tbh. I can't even breathe. She actually expected the album to bomb and to be slated. She said so on Ryan Seacrest's radio show before the album release, but explained that the album was meant to be for the fans that want to know more about her as a person. It's a personal album. "The world will rip me to pieces, but it's my opus". ARTPOP, however, may be her opus as a savvy popstar. A great mix of producers, a mysterious theme... It seems that way, she'll please the entire fanbase. At the end of the day it's all about rocking out or dancing to her music right? :) There's a difference between generic and commercial. Commercial = Making new and addictively great music that both the general public and the fanbase like. If done right, can be a very iconic hit with both audiences. (i.e. Poker Face, Bad Romance, Alejandro, TEOG, Scheisse (if it were released), etc) Generic = Making the same unmemorable music everyone else is making. Fans don't like it because it sounds like other contemporary artists. (Katy, Nicki, etc) Pleases the GP for like 3 days, until someone else comes out with music that sounds exactly the same. (i.e. David Guetta, Dr. Luke-produced music with the exact same beats, bass, and synths in every song) :pukey: Generic is not the way to go lol. She can have commercial songs like Poker Face, Bad Romance, etc that captures the general public and the fanbase. It seems that's what she's striving for by working with fresh DJs like Madeon and Zedd, while keeping past producers like RedOne, DJWS, and Fernando that have made wonderful music before. But working with people like David Guetta, that makes music that sounds exactly like everyone else's music, isn't going to do her much good. Gaga pushes boundaries with her music and art and is always doing something new, which sets her apart from her contemporaries. Screw the product, don't trust him till he's old and out of touch. David Guetta is dreadful. Titanium, Laserlight & countless other tracks of his all sound the same. That same guitar sound, beat and faux epico sound. Urgh. No. RedOne works great with Gaga, Scheisse, Bad Romance, Pokerface... He gives her a massive fan favourite every album. His work with others is awful because it's got no Gaga influence. DJWS worst production on BTW? GH's instrumental is a breath of fresh air. New everything, bubbly and still dark and drilling. It's great. Fernando, however... So, in conclusion... No. More DJWS, Madeon, Zedd, little less Fernando, 2-3 RedOne, and that's the album. I think some people willing to sacrifice quality, originality, creativity, integrity, artistry & their soul for a generic number 1 club hit should probably refer to themselves as a casual fan from now on, or just leave the building entirely. :tea: Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you've listened to his stuff on the electronic CD of 'Nothing But The Beat' there are some really interesting beats that are different and more interesting to his usually generic stuff.
