By technical definition of a vowel, Y is sometimes a vowel when it is used in a word to make the sound of a long or short I or E sound. By saying Y isn't a vowel, you also have to also say that I and E aren't vowels either, because they make the exact same sound, like in "rhythm". In this specific case, Y is being used as a vowel. And today's tweets about Azealia Banks and Kylie Minogue kind of strengthen that theory. Elton John, Cher, Chris Martin, Azealia Banks, Kylie Minogue, Gwen Stefani, Kendrick Lamar.........
