They tend to be rather unappealing (Again, again - Paper Gangsta - Black Jesus - MTN) The only good one was No Floods. I'd like her to use fictional scenarios and experiences she's been through, but warped. No more "I grew up in New York city" "Born: March of '86, my birthday's coming" etc etc. We know, it's not material for a good song, ducky. Can't believe she thought BJ deserved pride of place on the tour lmao. I want her to explore the following sounds: 90's ecstacy fuelled euphoria Industrial punk-rock-dance (prodigy) Story telling multi-theme (Bohemian Rhapsody, Jesus of Suburbia) Classical interlude (some interludes on the album with Gaga just playing piano. Would translate well to the tour) As for writing themes... Sanity/insanity Revenge Scorning wrongdoers Being a commander of the dancefloor Jealousy/betrayal/murder Against the odds Eye of the tiger The last song I'm wasting on you Drink to forget/tragic alcoholic This is my haus, b---h When I get you home I'll **** you hard Dis stuff, Gagz! I do love PG, but feel it may be more because she's such a shady b---h. MTN, however... Let's not get into it yet again, but that song is crap. It has the potential to be good but the only well written bits are the first verse and the bridge. The rest is tripe. The 2nd verse is poor and kills momentum, the stuttering is terrible, the chorus doesn't tell us anything at all or go anywhere... It's dire. There's a reason it megaflopped internationally even on radio. Autobiographical songs work when you can relate to them. Nobody can relate to the bad ones really. Any music channel would prefer to play like 3 or 4 music videos in 14 minutes instead of MTN. Stop this fight. It's stupid and pointless. And regarding your post, Y&I did not flop, and music channels can play a shortened version of the video.
