Aaliyah 41
Are there any sort of updates with regards to the earlier rumors online that the British alternative rock band Coldplay will be featured in one track on Gaga's new album? Or how about any possible collaborations with any other artist on the next album of Gaga, well aside from Elton John? The wait's slaying for months now. I hope not I can't stand Coldplay

Emvee 7,801
People have been entertaining the idea of Gaga producing some of the songs on the new album, but hasn't she already been heavily involved with the production of songs? Who's to say Heavy Metal Lover wasn't mostly produced by Gaga, only helped by Garibay. :flutter: Edited July 16, 2012 by Effigy

Who's to say Heavy Metal Lover wasn't mostly produced by Gaga, only helped by Garibay. True, true. But I guess it;s interesting to think if she'd do it all herself. That'd actually be pretty interesting. How about 'pop music will never die?' That would be more Gaga-esque. That would be kind of stating the obvious, though. lol House music, on the other hand, is something that comes and goes. But considering that DJWS's presence on the next one will be significant, I'm willing to bet that there will be a lot of House music influences. I think just plain "music will never die" is very powerful. Though, "pop music will never die" seems more, err, 'Gagaesque', similar to "pop music will never be low brow". 3 points in and ready for more

Though, "pop music will never die" seems more, err, 'Gagaesque', similar to "pop music will never be low brow". This is a bit off subject, but the "pop music will never be low brow" quote reminded me of something I was thinking earlier. The concept of pop culture and its effect on our identities is something I hope she explores. It's the flip side to Born This Way's message of finding our identities from within ourselves, which is true, we do create ourselves... to an extent. Our environments do the rest. "ARTPOP" hints at Pop Culture being a main driving force behind the concepts of The Next One and I'm imagining her relating it negative examples such as the decay of the blonde popstar. Pop Culture creates her (or him, whatever) and then destroys her. I can already feel the dark humor. Maybe the moral at the end of the story is that we can only rely on our spiritual influences from within, not outside. Rollercoaster 2
I think the theme will be "The kiss of death". Fame is the kiss of death for alot of hard working musicians and celebrities, despite their past. It can drive them to work too hard and result in their demise. When you kiss someone, you leave your red lipstick on their face. The mark of death. The kiss of death. Do, it Gags! A creepy piano ballad.

So it sounds as if she took the reigns on it almost completely. After all, it's her creative vision for the record, so really, only with her in control can it be 100% what she imagined. RabbitHeart 793
Gaga is obsessed with yin-yang concepts, right? I remember her saying this somewhere, I'm just not sure where but if TF/M era(s) focused on love vs. fame, and BTW focused on reality vs. fantasy, I think The Next One could focus on either private vs. public or art vs. pop. I just don't think she should name it Private in Public or ARTPOP :P my fave so far is Element of Crime followed by White Roses.

Speaking from a point of view that's done this stuff before, it's sometimes easier to unleash your head pictures by collaborating with other people. You sometimes can't get it out of your head on your own. Saying that, though, Gaga probably will produce the lead single on her own, because it's a guaranteed smash anyway, so it doesn't matter what the first single is like. Mees 269
After about my 500th listen to 41:29-46:27 on the DJWS mixtape, I realized that a voice says something at 42:12...anyone else notice that too? http://soundcloud.co...e-volume-eleven yes but it's not Gaga :( Maybe a remixed instrumental of a new song of gaga's album ;)
