msquare91 1 Posted June 27, 2012 Share Posted June 27, 2012 I know Gaga said the sound is different than the rest of the album, but I also kinda hope that the content of the song doesn't reflect the rest of the album, either. The whole nostalgic Marilyn Monroe/blonde icon craze has been going on for a while now, and usually Gaga sets the standard rather than follows it. I keep on thinking of what she said in the VEVO interview after the MTN video release, about how her album will be about what's real and what's not real. It's such an odd and interesting idea, and I just have no idea where she's going with it. I think it'd be really cool if the next era is about deconstructing her own stardom -- showing just how human she is, beneath all the trappings and behind the paparazzi shots. We'll see!
