Jay.P 2,331
It was pretty relevant to all those who have killed themselves due to cyber-bullying. The fact that everyone thinks its "just in fun" and ok is a huge part of the problem. True, it's not "just the internet" Do you hear that? It's poison. Morphine Prince 103,406
why exactly do we need to support his fans? because they're upset? yes, let's pity them. as if. if he had killed someone would she still say support the fans or support the family of the bereaved? give me a break gagz. how about we don't sympathise with people's ardent obsessions with celebrities to the extent that they're feeling glum their idol committed a crime. his fans have 0 to do with this. if people are pillorying his fans because they're supporting him right now, i say bravo. there's a reason people instinctively ridicule support of crime and idiocy and that's because we don't want more of it. we should be stigmatising support or sympathy of unambiguous crimes. This is how I see it. And of course it's not ALL his fans that are justifying his actions but I've personally seen a lot of them online and even on CNN they said there were people outside the prison with "Free Bieber" posters. So I'd rather not support but at the same time not bash his fans either.
TraeumereiLPB 294
Sorry, being famous really doesn't excuse you from the law to do something like this. Like hell he is going through something so bad he wants to get d--gged out driving to be in a situation to kill someone. It's a blanket to cover themselves. Of course being famous does not excuse his actions. That's why he will be punished by law. It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead. awpy 9
They don't necessarily have to support his actions I mean it must be hard for them to see their idol fall apart (imagine if it happened to us  ) + Sure her post was not really necessary, but it does no harm either, she's just being nice that's all :) Too nice to want to be nice. Still being a fan of beebs, you have to see it coming lately. They should have jumped off the ship a long time ago.
Nicole 1,809
I will only support those who ARENT defending his actions. Anyone who supports it condones his behaviour and sees it as "funny" i do not support or respect at all. He could have easily injured or even killed an innocent person. Tbh, idc if people are still a fan of him, if Gaga ever did something of a similar nature that's not something that can suddenly turn me off her music and such. But just because someone is your idol doesn't mean you have to support and condone everything they do. If Gaga did something similar, I would hope she'd get the appropriate punishment a regular person would get. No one is above the law. I think I went off topic there haha, but end of, I see where Gaga is coming from, but I'm not supporting those fans who support the endangerment of lives. Basically. Quark 7,085
Is seems to me like the one taking this in a serious manner is you and not Gaga. Gaga is just basically saying "everyone makes mistakes, so why are you bashing someone when you also make them. Lets Give bieber another chance". So in another words Gaga is just being sympathetic. So how does this make you ashamed again? I wrote a similar comment earlier in the thread...it's just so hard to imagine that the same person who performed Paparazzi at the VMAs is the same one who's now writing about how fans online need to support beliebers through such a difficult time in their fanbase's history. If you would've told me that a few years ago, I would've never believed you. She seriously needs to cut her internet connection or something. This is getting ridiculous, and I'm ashamed to call myself a fan. I never thought I'd say that, either.
NewYorkCity 10,517
Um, the people typing on the internet are real people, therefore the internet is real life. Or are you telling me this post you posted is invalid because you posted it online? As times moves forward, the internet becomes more and more important and invloved with real life. Gaga is able to see this, and that is why she takes focus on everything that is going online. I'm saying that I cam make fun of Katy on the internet but at the end of the day I will go to sleep and I won't be thinking about Katy and how it hate her. Because I just made a funny comment, and 5 minutes later I could be listening to Dark Horse because I love that song. I could say that britney is a robot and that night I could be watching I Am Britney Jean because I really enjoy it. That's it.

Rae 86
for the sake of argument... where do we draw the line? what if he had killed someone? should she have still made a statement reminding us that we all make mistakes? he chose to get drunk and drive a car in a reckless manner. i agree with the principle of what she's saying, i just think she should've kept quiet and let his criminal actions speak for themselves. he can defend himself in his own time. garnite, I admire your smart thinking. You say things other people will not say and you lay it on the line. You also display wit sometimes.

Gagaloo911 12,959
Bieber was not "born this way" he was "made this way" and "became this way" because of fame and a sense of entitlement. So on that point I don't agree with her. But we shouldn't be terrible about it either. But he did make the choice. Now he must suffer the consequences of his choices. It's life.
