The result of your actions should no way determine who you are if the intention is not bad. Intention has to play a role as seen in court when the motive plays a heavy determining in your sentence. The outcomes are just a response of others and these emotional responses by others need to be looked at. About Madonna and the N word, did she intend it in a racist way-who knows? But in this instance Gaga did not even slightly mention anything about Miley, so it is much more possible that this tweet was not intended towards Miley than it being "shade" or whatever. Well that isn't the point I even made in my first statement so whatever. What I said is I don't think Gaga is shady and I don't think she is a horrible person for making the tweet, but I think the tweet itself was pretty shady whether she intended it to be or not. So I agree, "The result of your actions should no way determine who you are if the intention is not bad", that's not something I have tried to argue against. All I said was that intention should not prevent you from taking accountability for what your words and actions have caused. Gaga's intention probably wasn't bad, which I have also stated numerous times in this thread, but whether she intended for the tweet to be shady or not isn't the point. Her intention is besides the point. The tweet is shady, it has shady implications. I cut out the first part about how you think she can have both, because like I already said I thought she took it to far so once again we agree. She can't have both the way she is presenting it though. She cannot hold others to such high standards for this #OnlineKindness campaign when Gaga herself can't even reach such standards. The whole online kindness crusade is just because she can't handle criticism/negativity towards herself. She wouldn't care about it if the media were still kissing her ass like they were in 2008-2010. I'm all for her being shady/defending herself, but drop the annoying cyber Mother Teresa act if you're going to do it. It's funny to me that the people on forums who revert to insulting people and calling people idiots are usually the ones who haven't even made an attempt at making a rational argument.
