feelitinmybones 0
Pretty much 90% of people want to see Gaga on tour. You KNOW it's going to be a crazy time, regardless if you like her very much or not. With Katy Perry, it's kind of like just seeing "another" pop show. No disrespect to Katy as an artist, but Gaga is known for theatrics, seeing Gaga is something to brag about. Kind of like how I would go to a Madonna show just because it's Madonna. Some people go just because it's Gaga.

KingOfSpain 10,010
I'd bet money on it. Katy has difficulty selling out arenas, especially ones that have capacities of 16,000 or more. Even in the US, where her true success lies, she struggles immensely. That is why I am puzzled that she was booked for the biggest arenas in each city/state with only 10 exceptions (and even then, all those arenas were the second biggest in the city/state and some only had a difference of a few hundred). Honestly, I think outwith the UK (where sales were higher than anticipated and more shows had to be added), these sales are going to be very underwhelming. Something tells me that there won't be a big demand for second dates. If Miley, who had a #1 and #2 single and a #1 album, had no demand for second dates in the US, I don't fancy Katy's chances. Also, outwith the US, Canada, UK and Australia, Katy has little to no presence as a touring act. Gaga is big in Asia, Europe, Latin America and even Africa. Her strengths are Katy's weaknesses and her strength outside these places is not too shabby either. Gaga has always been a worldwide act. Katy is not. When your success is so focused on one place, tour grosses are going to lacklustre for the most part. As I keep on repeating: she only made $59.5 million with 124 dates on her TD tour, when she was at the peak of her career, so how on earth will she match or better this amount when she's no longer at her peak? And has had a flop second single and increasing criticism for her live vocals into the bargain? She was so lucky that her UK dates went on sale before she performed on X Factor UK because if it was afterwards...suffice to say in the aftermath of that disaster, there was a lot of buyer's remorse from all over the internet. I love you http://gagadaily.com/forums/topic/227246-ceremony-gagas-videography-megarate/
Arturo 40,746
Katy has a bigger North American, Australian, and U.K tour than Gaga. So unless Gaga comes home big with her yet to be announced Asian and Latin American legs, unfortunately no. The thing is, quality plays no part in this. If quality played part in anything, ARTPOP would've outsold PRISM. Gaga IS a much better performer than Katy, but the tour dates are right in front of us, and Katy wins by far.
