LMZ Entry: What's Actually Needed

While the whole LMZ entry discussion has been covered to a degree here, I just got my LMZ tickets in the mail yesterday. I know some of you had to use a family members credit card to purchase tickets and are worried about needing the card to get access. I don't have credit cards because I'm against them, so I gave cash to my mother and used her card. But I tried a trick. I entered the billing address of the card and her card number but I put MY name on everything...just to see. And it worked. The tickets came in the mail and my name is on them. According to Ticketmaster, us LMZ people will receive an email 1-2 weeks before the show with instructions of where to be, what time, what to bring, etc. All I've seen is we will need a license with our name on it to match the tickets. I haven't read anything regarding bringing the credit card used to purchase. I'm going to the Dallas show so maybe it's different for states or whatever, but I've not seen where the card is needed. IF I get the email staying I need the card, I can get it but I noticed some of you were worried about that and I believe if your name is on the tickets or there's a receipt of sorts with your name on it, it appears, you will be fine. Just wanted to share ;)

Many members can't do that because of the 18+ age restriction, but thank you for your insight!

Thank you. It just hit me that many members are underage so it IS tricky. I just wanted to share my experience and I gotta say it's also tricky for this older monster to get good Gaga tickets! She's the only act that I've had to worry myself over what tickets to get. Lol.

I don't know If what happened to me when Gaga came here with the BTWB applies to your situation but, when I bought my HML package (similar to LMZ), I used my mom's credit card to buy it and I wrote her name in a different part of the tickets website and my name came in the ticket, so I didn't had any problems with.

That matching name, credit card, address rule ticketmaster has is ridiculous. So many tickets are bought as gifts or have to be resold for reasons other than scalping. So pathetic

It's only for VIP packages. And when I went they had my mom's name on the list and they were like "eh; same last name"

I didn't buy LMZ tickets but I did buy gold hot packages for the monster ball a few years ago off my friend who couldn't go, for 490 dollars a ticket and the arena wouldn't let us in unless he was there. Thankfully he was in the city and he was able to come down to show his ID and told them he bought them for us as gifts. Thankfully it all worked out in the end... But god forbid he was out of town, which is a reason a lot of people have to sell tickets, we would have been screwed out of 1500 dollar tickets and the experience of a life time. I was fuming

Just because your name is on the ticket doesn't mean that will be there when you go in the check-in line to go into the arena. Shipping/billing addresses are different. If you used your mothers card and her name is on it her name will still be on the check-in list and you have to sort that out with Ticketmaster. An ID with the credit card name is required also.

This is true for me.  I used my Australian credit card to buy tickets for a show in Toronto, but I moved to another address a week after buying tickets within Australia.  They refused to change the shipping address because the "shipping address must match the billing address on the credit card."  So I said "so, you're going to send them somewhere I don't live?!?!?"  Eventually after fighting with them and talking to two supervisors they were able to adjust it to my mom's address in the USA because I had used a credit card with that address in the past on a different order.  Ticketmaster are so frustrating.  Another thing they did was send tickets for a show in Michigan to my house in NC when I was living at Uni in Michigan.  They couldn't comprehend that I wasn't at my mom's address to receive the tickets, wouldn't switch them to will call, and e-tickets weren't available.  So my mom had to re-send them via UPS to me and luckily I got them in time.  I just hate dealing with them so much.  I really wish I could "get stuffed, I'm going to buy my tickets from _______"  but you HAVE to buy your tickets from Ticketmaster if you want original tickets instead of scalped tickets.  They basically have a monopoly.  Sorry for that little rant, but I just hate Ticketmaster with a fiery passion.

I totally agree about how ridiculous it can be at certain shows to have the card, an ID, etc. Like, I get the ID part and safety precautions but hell it can be easier to buy a ticket from a scalper right in front of the arena and walk right on in. Lol. It's crazy.

I'm driving 3 hours to artRAVE in Dallas. I live in Oklahoma City. My mom lives in the city too. I'll probably take the card as a precaution and our last names are not the same...which is why I decided to SEE if my idea would work. Her name is nowhere on the tickets, the receipt, the online receipt, nada! That sounds shady but I didn't want any problems. It SHOULD be fine but I'll die being SO hyped til JULY just to get there and have security shade. Ain't nobody who's gonna wear what I'm wearing got time for dat! ;)

^this.

It doesn't matter about the name on the ticket at all, but like you said when you go to check in for the VIP line the name on the list will be what is on the credit card.

My brother in law bought me LMZ tickets for chicago on his credit card and we had to go through a bunch of hassle with ticketmaster but eventually got my name put on the list because he bought the tickets as a gift and we live in clevaland so he wouldn't be able to be in Chicago with me because its a 5 hour drive..

I just have to bring a photocopy of his ID and credit card with me along with my id and ticket and ill be able to get in.

I suggest if any of you are in a similar situation to get it handled RIGHT AWAY because it does take a little while to get fixed.

And when talking to ticketmaster stay nice and calm and make sure you ask for the phone number for the VIP LINE ONLY. They were able to help much more and were the ones to finally get it switched over for me

I consider myself pretty lucky because the Toyota Center doesn't use TicketMaster, so they're very helpful with changing names, etc.

However, I'm currently getting my moms name changed to mine for my LMZ tickets at Roseland and that is a bit of a hassle. We have to send a scanned copy of both of our IDs, a picture of us together (like what?!) and a screenshot of our confirmation e-mail. Like, it's easy to do all of that, but so unnecessary.
