I'm honestly done, the biggest point is that both aren't meeting expectations.

Good, because it was a completely illogical comparison!

You can't really compare BD and Style when 1989 is selling 100K a week when Katy was selling 8-9K a week.

And who's to say all those sales are fueled by Style?? Taylor has a solid GP respect and fanbase, of course she's going to have huge album sales. Katy has always been known more of a single artist, yes, PRISM sold fairly well, but when comparing it to the single success, it's not all that hot.

And y'all still kissed the biggest point that I've repeated, both didn't meet expectations

That's all I'm saying, if y'all don't get it :rip:

Comparing two songs because they didn't meet expectations. Wow a lot in common.  :troll:

Yours Truly has sold very close to 500,000 copies. Exactly half? Lol 500,000 is not anywhere close half of 565,000. The only way it will be half is if ME ends up selling a million.

Style and Birthday are nothing alike. Prism was selling how much a week at that time? Under 10,000? That's a big difference from 80,000-90,000. Hasn't Style already sold a million already and headed to double platinum? Birthday never even made it to gold.

Not yet. But it did pass the 500k mark in SoundScan-reported sales, unlike Birthday (last SoundScan update = 213k). Style is currently at around 670k SoundScan sales at the very least. In 2-3 weeks' time, it'll be Taylor's 24th digital song as solo to pass 1 million, and her 25th overall.

Also, here are the SoundScan-reported career record sales (albums + digital singles) of the following artists as lead, all at the minimum:

Taylor Swift - 106.262M+ records sold since 2006 (SoundScan's best-selling artist of the digital era)

Eminem - 96.393M+ records sold since 1999

Rihanna - 81.664M+ records sold since 2005

Katy Perry - 71.863M+ records sold since 2008

Lady Gaga - 61.214M+ records sold since 2008

Bubbling Under:

Maroon 5 - 52.763M+ records sold since 2002

Adele - 40.714M+ records sold since 2008

Bruno Mars - 37.422M+ records sold since 2010

Yes, that is one thing. Not meeting expectations with a video and substantial radio support.

And just to clear some tension I think exists here: I don't hate Taylor, 1989, Style, etc. and I'm not calling any of them unsuccessful AT ALL. I'm just saying, Style did not meet expectations people had last week prior to the video. People expected it to go top 3 or even #1 (don't deny it, people debated how far it would go), but it never even went top 5. With Birthday, people thought the song would at least go top 10. It was coming off of Dark Horse, had a video with some publicity, and substantial radio support.

That's all I'm saying, but I'm done, I don't wanna argue anymore

This, and with less singles that were given remixes, discounts, etc.. People really don't give her enough credit where it's due. Even on here :(
