luckythisway 2,610
Yup. I agree. It's far from slowing down. Plus, it has that 'classic' sound which could give it more longevity like most of the 7M+ sellers. I wouldn't be surprised if it does end up as one, if not close to it in two years' time like Imagine Dragons' Radioactive (released in 2012, now 7.5M+ in digital sales). Also, for those who are also interested with the 3 million+ selling singles of some of his contemporaries, here they are: Katy Perry - ten 3M+ sellers 1. Firework - 6.8M (as of Jan. 25, 2015 via Billboard) 2. E.T. (feat. Kanye West) - 5.8M (as of Jan. 25, 2015 via Billboard) 3. Dark Horse (feat. Juicy J) - 5.78M (as of Jan. 25, 2015 via Billboard) 4. I think Applause and The Edge of Glory can also eventually reach 3 million. You and I has a good chance also because it gets performed on competition shows pretty often :) British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS

By the end of the year TEOG should pass 3M and Applause should be around 2.8M.

Mills 446
As a Rihanna fan, it should upset me that her streak of #1 lead singles since 2010 will likely be over with FFS. After all, it's rare for artists these days to score more than 3 consecutive #1 leads (excluding re-issues, holiday-themed, & hits compilations). And I wanted her to be the one to tie Mariah's record of 6 consecutive #1 leads, or at least get close to it. But whatever. This single is now more successful than Russian Roulette (peaked higher on the HOT100, #1 in AUS, and could easily hit platinum), and that's good enough for me. It's also possible that she could pull another Rude Boy from this new era anyway and get her 14th #1 single on the HOT 100, a tie, if ever, with Elvis Presley's total number ones on the HOT 100 and its direct predecessor (the top 100 from 1955-1958).
