Did anyone think Norah Jones was the biggest star in 2002 when her debut sold 11M copies in the US? Nope it was still Britney even though her self-titled album only sold 4M copies Are you trying to say next Adele's album is gonna flop? We all know it's gonna debut with 1m+ copies. And it's not like Adele has had a flop. And it's not like Taylor were slaying from the left to the right since 2008. Yes, she's a very strong album seller, but her first #1 hit was in 2012. Taylor had the last THREE albums sell more than a million copies in their first week + multiple hits off of every album.. Adele is a force of course, but she has yet to prove herself.. Sure. Taylor is a bigger star when you look at everything as a whole compared to Adele, that's it, despite Adele selling 10 million albums... It was a big success on its own. Sure the 21 hype helped, but let's not. It has sold 700k in the UK alone before the 21 release And she has had a lot of promo back in 2008/2009 like SNL and etc Not to mention she won a grammy back then. It boosted the sales a lot.
