Pure Adrenaline 1,518
All of the major on-demand audio subscription services are considered, including Spotify, Beats Music, Google Play and Xbox Music. Spotify is like 90% or more of that. Note that it is on-demand subscription service so that rule out VEVO. That's some kind of relief. So the effect from SEA will be minimal, what I'm concerned about is the TEA - the inflation will be coming like 80% of it: Top 3 streamed songs: 1. Take Me To Church 2,972,893 / 1500 = 1981 albums 2. Animals 2,367,441 / 1500 = 1578 albums 3. I'm Not The Only One 2,252,518 / 1500 = 1501 album so the effect will be minimal, however when u add this: Top 3 downloaded songs: 1. Blank Space 328,000 / 10 = 32,800 albums 2. Take Me To Church 131,000 / 10 = 13,100 albums 3. All About That Bass 126,000 / 10 = 12,600 albums this will be the part that will make the difference much. So to go back to counting ARTPOP sales with the new rule and this time excluding VEVO streams: Digital Download: 1. Applause 2.6M/10 = 260k albums 2. Do What U Want 1.3M/10 = 130k albums 3. Dope 31k/10 = 3k albums 4. GUY 30+k/10 = 3k albums 5. Venus 100k+/10 = 10k albums Overall TEA = 409k+ Streaming (Spotify only): 1. Applause: 56,729,558 Streams/1500 = 37k albums 2. Do What U Want: 34,652,428 Streams/1500 = 23k albums 3. G.U.Y.: 8,670,148 Streams/1500 = 5.7k albums 4. Venus: 4,700,831 Streams/1500 = 3k albums 5. Gypsy: 2,722,849 Streams/1500 = 1.8k albums 6. Sexxx Dreams: 2,578,230 Streams/1500 = 1.6k albums Overall SEA = 72k + ARTPOP + TEA + SEA = 725 + 409 + 72 = 1.2M + So how u see the streaming is NOT effecting the overall sales much at all the effect come from the other part of the rule where they add the amount of songs bought which I think it's the problem ... but however ARTPOP is platinum yay :madge: It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely

Rocky 21
Yaaas ARTPOP finally did it Inbefore TD is diamond with the new rule Tracks 1. Firework - 6,668,000/10 = 667k 2. The One That Got Away - 2,600,000/10 = 260k + other tracks like Peacock: ~100k = 2,941,000 Spotify 1. Firework - 73,000,000/1500 = 49k 2. E.T. - 29,000,000 + 26,000,000 /1500 = 37k 3. The One That Got Away - 12,000,000 + 30,000,000 /1500 = 28k + other songs adding up to 47,000,000 / 1500 = 31k = 248,000 so 2,800,000 + 2,941,000 + 248,000 = 5,989,000 Add a few hundred sales to that because we don't have recent data for some of the singles and have no idea of her album track sales. 6X platinum chanteuse. CG has already reached 5.63M by May 2014. TD's TEAs are monstrous. Peacock alone has moved at least 643k, as of August 2013. The latest reported SoundScan numbers for the other TD album tracks, like Hummingbird Heartbeat and Circle the Drain could be found in the OP here, and most of them were their debut numbers in 2010. By August 2011, back when LFN was just at around 2 million, TD's album tracks (including the then album track TOTGA) were reported to have sold over 700k. TD's TEAs by that time have already surpassed 2 million units (3.8M albums + TEAs). And 3 of its first 5 singles have yet to pass the 5 million mark. Converting the digital sales of all of its 8 singles and 4 available album tracks, TD's TEAs, at the very minimum, are at 3.523 million. Combining this with its actual album sales, as of April 2014, TD would then be at 6.394M, and this is just based on minimum TEAs and album sales. GagaMyBlood95 9,915
you wouldn't say so if Gaga was single seller Well, it's not like this rule doesn't effect possitive on Gaga because it does but I personally think that album sales are album sales and that's the end. Yeah, they have declined A LOT during the past few years, but artists like Taylor and Adele and Eminem prove that you can still sell actual albums, that it's not impossible..
