Maybe, maybe not. While Taylor seems to be getting more and more global, I don't think she's as global as Gaga... yet. But given the massive predicted success of 1989, I don't think outselling BTW is impossible. I guess we'll have our answer next week  :fan:

Dunno if it's different in the UK, but you can't escape shake it off.

So what your saying is that you can't shake off, shake it off lol

but interesting to know. I still don't feel it as much as past songs that get played like crazy. However I do like the song and I'm not a taylor fan.

Doubtful she'll pass BTW numbers. But passing 1m is still impressive given that sales have generally been lower among a lot of artists  this past year and Taylor's albums have done consistently well over time.

But people dont give a **** about country outside US

Canada, Australia and NZ are also big country markets.

Her first week sales for Oops!... I Did It Again were 1,319,000. Taylor won't even get half of that. She lost her country fan base.

Taylor is going to hit at least a million, so you are wrong.

Country fans are loyal. Her "country fan base" were a bunch of tweens and teens that liked her country because it had Pop-crossover appeal. They will be more than happy with a Pop album, as well.

This. She improved with Red and looks to be improving even more with 1989, but I don't think she's Gaga's level yet

Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn

Sorry but Taylor is consistently slaying but will never ascend to the height of fame and celebrity Gaga did WW in 2010.

Calm down ya'll, it's not like she's breaking or tying all MJ's record. And calling her Female MJ is just some sort of joke...

You overrate MJ so much and I don't even like Taylor  as much as I like MJ... :ghostney:
