great now after UF smashing we are destined to listen to washed up 80's synths for the next few years ... just like after TS eveyone started using sax elements in the breakdown of their songs

what's TOY?

My bad. Didn't realise I've posted TOY instead of TOL until you asked. I meant Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud which is now nearing to 3.5M+ in digital sales. Charlie's part reminds a lot of people I know of TOL. And I do too.

And speaking of digital smash hits + and in celebration to the upcoming 12th anniversary of the iTunes store this month, the online retailer which kicked off a new era of music consumption, here are some timelines of the best-selling digital songs ever:

IGF is going for its 5th year as the best-selling digital song in Nielsen Music history. I wonder when will someone break their record, especially now as streaming seems ready to take over digital song sales as the new top choice for music consumption. It may stay as the top-selling digital single for a very long time, and I mean at least five more years, if not forever.

Lady Gaga
'The Fame (Monster)' (2008, 2009) 14,5 million
'The Monster EP' (2009) 1,9 million
'Born This Way' (2011) 6,3 million
'ARTPOP' (2013) ]1,95 million
'Cheek To Cheek' (2014 with Tony Bennett)970.000
Total: 25,62 million

Beyoncé
-----------
'I Am... Sasha Fierce' (2008) 7,5 million
'4' (2011) 3,0 million
'Beyoncé' (2013) 3,7 million
Total: 14.2

As you can CLEARLY see - from 2008 till now Beyonce has shifted 14.2. Lady Gaga has almost doubled that in the SAME time period. In fact Lady Gaga debut ALONE sold MORE than what Beyonce has sold in the last 7 years.
