Next would probably be Sam Smith, who already has the 5th highest selling album of 2014, but will end up at 3rd. (behind Taylor and Frozen) Ariana has the 34th selling album this year. She did not own this past year! People ahead of her on the 2014 album chart who have had pop hits: Iggy, Maroon 5, John Legend, Coldplay, Pharrell Williams, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith. Sam will end up with a platinum album and has 4 radio hits in this past year alone. Even if you listen to the songs she has out now - I admit, LAM is the worst - they are a lot better than the songs of other one hit wonders like Carly or Psy. I just hope she brings out the video for LAM soon because it's time to give the song a push If you listen to Meghan live, you can compare her singing easily to Katy's (who is the biggest female pop star recently right?) or even better imo... + she writes for herself and other artists, and her songs are cute... Mess then y are u guys following chart runs and peaks if album sales only matters. Didnt Fearless sold more than The Fame in the US but Gaga still owned that year. TFM never become the best selling album in the US too. The fact that u guys were only pointing out album sales just to drag Ariana is just so bias and desperate. Worst haters ever. Let us see who will fill the artist of the year chart. I remember when ppl here were bashing Teenage Dream sales bc it was selling bad too until it got its fifth number 1 then suddenly it surpassed BTW sales and this fanbase's arrogance were shutdown. lol.
