  1. 1. How should she tour Australia?

    • Stadiums like Taylor Swift
    • Lots of Arena Dates like P!nk

1-2 arena dates per each major city.... including Adelaide, they deserve a date.

Noooooo they don't. Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane would all pull 3+ dates as well.

Ugh, thanks a lot Katy and media lol. I think when gaga goes there the media will like her because she is really sweet in interviews and what not

We love when people tour here, because it is out of the way for them to come here so when people do, we go crazy. When ARTPOP and Prism/Applause and Roar were released around the same time the media pitted them against each other and then Katy Perry came and visited Australia and the media loved her and the media asked her about the competition between them and she replied that "she doesn't need to show off her body to sell things and promote her image" (essentially saying that she is a good person and Gaga isn't) and that made people turn against her.

Then there was Beyonce, no discussion needed

I know! I was so annoyed by that, it was as bad as the Adele/Gaga media beef in 2011.

It's true what people say about visiting here = album sales + success. If you look at the 4 females who visited here this year - Taylor, Bey, P!nk and Katy, they all have stellar sales. Gaga and Miley, the notable two who didn't visit have struggled a little.

Bangerz took two months to hit gold, which ARTPOP will hit any minute, after the same period of time (we'll find out in the next update). Miley also went without a #1, with WB at #2 and We Can't Stop at #4. Considering both singles WW success, it didn't do anything particularly amazing and practically just rode off her hype worldwide.

I'm expecting 2 Brisbane, 2 or 3 for both Sydney and Melbourne, 1 Perth and maybe 1 Adelaide. All in arenas. I'm basing that off how ARTPOP has been received here, but I could be wrong since she's had strong touring power here in the past.

vomits her mind

Arenas for sure. I hate stadium shows.. That's just my opinion but with the layout I doubt she'll do stadiums.

I hate to be pessimistic about it, but after seeing how the album performed here, this is what I'm guessing will happen:

All Arena Shows:

Brisbane: 1

Sydney: 1-2

Melbourne: 1-2

Adelaide: 1

Perth: 1

and maybe 1-2 in Auckland

That's the most I think that I will happen.  Don't expect much, cause she's not doing that much in the US this time around.

EUGH! such a downgrade. the haters will come after her again for doing worse than the last tour. it's not a good look when an artist does fewer shows than the last tour.

here's a comparison between the BTWB and Bey's tours:

Mrs Carter Show: 171042 tickets, $28m AUD (Beyonce's top non-package ticket price was $250)

BTWB: 178177 tickets, $23m AUD (Gaga's top non-package ticket price was $180)

and Taylor Swift's:

Red Tour: 148921 tickets, $15m AUD

and Ri-Ri's:

Diamonds World Tour: 88996 tickets, $10m AUD (a flop compared to UK/Europe  :toofunny:)

so it's clear that after P!nk, Gaga and Beyonce are the biggest female concert draws in Australia.

although no one can come after p!nk's arena records, NO ONE can beat madonna's stadium records:

Girlie Show Tour 1993 (with 10 years of fame under her belt and a flop album, Erotica): 295000 tickets from only SEVEN AUSTRALIAN STADIUM SHOWS  :deadbanana:

personally, i think gaga will end up touring australia in late 2014 when it's warmer, but it'll be a huge shame if she only did arenas.  :noparty: she needs to upgrade to move into the big league.
