Obviously, but she evidently thought she could trust him as he stood by her for years. But something must have gone very wrong for her to actually fire him after all this time. What I understand from her words is that she cannot be herself anymore (artistically) because the record label has "locked her up" and I honestly believe that. Record labels can be like the ****ing mafia sometimes. She wants to fulfill her artistic vision but the label doesn't want her to, probably because it's not conventional and it's not something that would bring them money. Interscope is well known for that tactic, they dropped Elton John's album because it wasn't "commercial enough" and they also charge a lot for albums (ARTPOP and MMLP2 for example) just because the core audience will still pay. Many of you say that Interscope helped her during the beginning so what has changed now, and the answer is Gaga has evolved as an artist and as a person during the past 6 years (I still believe that during The Fame 'era' she wasn't truly herself). And it really hasn't even changed now, back in '09 Gaga and Interscope were fighting about releasing TFM, they wanted more singles off The Fame because it would still sell no matter what. Hell, it even happened with the cover, Gaga wanted the brunette one as the main cover but they thought it wasn't 'pop' enough. They have always been fighting about single choices (Most of BTW, DITD, Applause and DWUW). I understand it's business but Gaga is probably their biggest act (along with eminem) and I think they should ****ing back off and give her more freedom. Gaga is the artist and she must put out her art, not what a multi-billion record label wants. Imagine having the best job in the world, something that you really love doing, working with wonderful people but your boss is making your life a living hell. That's what I think it's going on with Gaga right now. I really hate seeing her that way, it's very sad :( She's a strong woman and she has us, I hope she becomes happy again very soon They werent fighting about applause. See, this is why I truly believe that the hold up with DWUW video is Interscope and other big heads. They're trying to control Gaga and they're controlling her Twitter so she can't tell us what's going on. It's very scary. She got her way and discovered along the line she stepped into a big bee hive where everyone wants to make a buck out of you.
