Exactly, someone educated me on this by pointing to Cake Like Lady Gaga as an example. She literally cannot release it. We always thought she was free but the truth is everything's managed by interscope even releasing songs like Stache and Stuck on ****in you, and probably even her performing Princess Die on tour. As her fan, I do know that it was not an attempt to seek for an attention, but the public would have not seen it like that and it's exactly something she doesn't need right now. What she NEEDS is to do whatever she wants and not think what the public might think. Isn't that the whole debate? Because interscope will always try yo gauge people's reaction while she only cares about making stuff she likes.She wants to be a star, yeh how many of us don't dream about that being young and jamming in their basement? She got her way and discovered along the line she stepped into a big bee hive where everyone wants to make a buck out of you. It's not teen Stefani dreaming of becoming big anymore it's now a struggle to not loose your soul in a business that is treating you like a prostitute and they are the pimps. You're the second mod I've seen in this thread trying to see things from Interscope's perspective :nooo: you guys are missing the point that whether or not interscope is the devil Gaga is getting sad and is not being happy with things so maybe we should all be more supportive instead of asking why she's being hostile towards them. My 2 cents. but you can't forget that it's not just about Art it's about Pop as well. Gaga needs the projection, the financial support, and that is going to affect the art somehow. Hopefully it will work out because she really does need a big label behind her back. Lady Gaga is a product at the end of the day, a very artistic product, but a product nonetheless. If not she would be in the underground, but she chose the fame and the label. I'm confident that she'll find the right balance she needs though. Definitely not there just paying salaries. "hundreds of millions" you sound like angela cheng... I'm pretty sure that with no one getting a cut from her sales, touring ect. she can be just as huge as she is. Of course she'll need a team, a manager and stuff like that. It's not my job to make her feel completely happy and satisfied all of the time. It is her job to make others happy. She's the one getting paid for it.
