giskardsb 12,565
do not know what's going on specifically, so I can't really judge, but I just don't see the reason why she should be so hostile towards her label. They just want what's best for them this era. fixed modern labels are in it for the haul. They always have been, but in the past at least some were artist friendly. These days none of them are, although Interscope seems better than most. Edited January 5, 2014 by giskardsb
Michelle 2,056
I wonder how fans would feel if Gaga told us to quit moaning about our problems because it makes it hard for her to enjoy the money we spend on her, or something of the sort. FFS she always listens to the countless stories & offers advice and support. The least we can do is treat her like a human being. Thank you. teo 609
He was independent but then he signed to a label after his initial success idk, his wikipedia page has his name on "Labels" and Ryan Lewis has "n/a".

Bye 3,947
Why are you all saying she can do anything without a label. She just needs a great team, that's all the label is for, apart from getting a cut from her sales. She can still be huge without them. Look at Macklemore, he's one of the biggest acts of last year and he's independent(right?). drag them, honey Besides, she has enough of a name on her that although her success going independent would take a massive hit it'll be ok and she'll be doing the things she enjoys. I feel so sad for her. Gaga, come to me. We'll create a label together and I'll be your manager. Promise you you'll have full artistic freedom and that I'll give constructive criticism I'm so happy she communicated with monsters and said things like 'I love you' 'you are my friends', but so sad that she's pretty much depressed right now. Please don't do d--gs Gaga, the painting you made today was amazing and you should definitly do more stuff like that and write songs to cope, but d--gs are never the answer. Flawless post, Luc I agree with everything you said and even the part about the painting. Never knew our baby girl had it in her :)
Carles 168
She seems like she's on the verge of being admitted to psychiatric care and half of you only care about when the music video comes out
Weasel 12,525
Oh how sad for you that you're not enjoying the era. Gaga should quit her moaning because Weasel won't enjoy the era otherwise. /s I'm sorry if I'm harsh but that was a bit insensitive towards Gaga. Get over yourself. This is a human being we are talking about and her as a person and one having to go through all this scheisse. Not some "era" that you're supposed to enjoy. Talk about being shallow You wanna be a fan? Then find a heart and show some compassion and care about her. Your attitude is sickening. Her and her life and feelings are more important than "enjoying" this era. Really? Are you that narrow minded? Boohoo ....it's ruining your fun? Gurllllll is there any human compassion left in you? Sorry for wanting a fun era. Stop the drama start the music remember? If only it would happen.
PoshLife 16,979
Excuse me honey but This Is The One was flawless so you should probably stop lol my excitement about meeting a fellow Utada fan is outweighed by the delusion. She said in an interview something along the lines of "I wrote it so quickly I didn't even have fun with it." And the Come Back to Me video was just shots of her and a hot guy sitting in a house, then Dirty Desire didn't even have a video. I mean you can like it as much as you want but objectively it's not good and by all accounts she seems to agree with me. The story of her relationship with IDJ is fact, not rumor. ProudUnicorn 37
she shouldn't have signed to a label in the first place then. "I wanna be a star" She has said that so many times too. I want the best for her, don't get me wrong. And I really think that she wants to make art and make a difference, but you need some projection to be able to do that. She has too look at the big picture. There might be problems, she might not be allowed to release the song she wants as a single, or make that scene for a video... but in the end, she'll have a power to make a lot of other things, to speak in front of 50.000 people in a stadium about art, and sing, and let the whole world know your music and sing along it... and in the long term, she'll have power enought to make other things. That's how it works, it is hard, yeah. If this is because they didn't let her put some songs in the album... if she's here because the music and not the bling, why don't just upload them on youtube? If the label don't think those songs are going to make any benefit, what's the problem? Just release them apart from the album... I'm just trying to understand whats going on. I want her to be happy and enjoy these moments, because she dreserves everything  The problem is that the label gets a cut of every revenue made and there are generally contracted clauses that state you can't release music without permission of the music label. Bye 3,947
Her label just wants her to be successful. Yes, it's so they can get money, but in turn, she's successful. I do not know what's going on specifically, so I can't really judge, but I just don't see the reason why she should be so hostile towards her label. They just want what's best for this era. And she wants what's best for her life and her enjoyment of making music. And obviously she's not finding interscope to be supportive if this. You're the second mod I've seen in this thread trying to see things from Interscope's perspective :nooo: you guys are missing the point that whether or not interscope is the devil Gaga is getting sad and is not being happy with things so maybe we should all be more supportive instead of asking why she's being hostile towards them. My 2 cents.
MonsterMum 2,532
she shouldn't have signed to a label in the first place then. "I wanna be a star" She has said that so many times too. She wants to be a star, yeh how many of us don't dream about that being young and jamming in their basement? She got her way and discovered along the line she stepped into a big bee hive where everyone wants to make a buck out of you. It's not teen Stefani dreaming of becoming big anymore it's now a struggle to not loose your soul in a business that is treating you like a prostitute and they are the pimps. Lady 748
Exactly, they stopped her from putting out Cake. And they didn't stop her from being brilliant years ago so why would they now? The fact that she actually thought that releasing Cake is cool and not affecting her reputation as a true and serious musician is actually the biggest surprise to me. As her fan, I do know that it was not an attempt to seek for an attention, but the public would have not seen it like that and it's exactly something she doesn't need right now. Sirgagaswag 2
Ughhh I just want her to be okay... this. I would honestly do anything to make her happy. I would give my whole life to her cause she made it worth living.
