If she get's out of the hands of Interscope, and wants to do anything on her own, can you imagine what them big coops will do to her? She has no money for stuff like payola like them. She'd be like a child in a forrest with wolves. There is a lot of shady business going on in that industry what we probably don't wanna know about but on her own competing with the big boys and products like Katy Perry, I don't see it ending well. Many small bands release their music independently, just because they don't sell millions doesn't make their music any less valid. I think she's been fighting with Interscope for a long time tbh One of those was "Cake Like Lady Gaga", so... Hopefully the contract ends soon or there's some way to break it'll.if interscope is the problem that is, but I think she's made it pretty obvious they're the problem. She never said anything like this about her own record label before. I wish she would just keep her mouth shut and even pretend everything is all right if there are problems. I am here for the music not the drama. She can keep her struggles with her record label to herself and start releasing. If she's blaming the music industry as a whole I don't think the sales are bothering her. Chromatislaps 34,840 Posted January 4, 2014 Share Posted January 4, 2014 Jesus Christ this just keeps getting weirder and weirder She shouldn't be taking jabs at the label who helped her to be who she is today though I think the label isn't having it anymore, Boomkack and Dada resigned first and now that Troy is fired, I feel the label is watching her ever more closely than before. She thought she would have had more freedom, I think the label is tightening their grip on her. Also backstabbing people, Pigrez, Madonna, the GP who didn't like her and now secretly return to like her (guilty pleasure). The only anchors/steady rock in the middle she has left are her family, her boyfriend and her closest friends (Tara, Starlight, DJWS, and maybe Terry). Yes but that's bands, she's playing in a whole different genre and play ground. Much more money involved. If she wants to stay in the pop genre, on her own? I don't give her a chance. If you think she just just start releasing because there's drama @ interscope, you need to do some soul searching, because you're way out of line.
