I don't think it's tacky.  To be honest this song is one the most well deserved nominees.  The lyrics are phenomenal.  Depending on how well the performance is executed, it very well be a great stepping stone to equality.

This is in no way tacky. I think it's a great idea! Same Love is a good song with meaningful lyrics.
