Also, saying the "better song" is completely subjective. You might think it's "better" but others might think it's pure trash.

 

It's doing much better on the charts.

It's more innovative sounding, first pop hit to use trap style so much. DIL isn't musically innovative

Juicy J's rap is more interesting than Jay Z's part.

The Dark Horse lyrics are more imaginative too.

hahaha.beyonce is outselling katy with her album without any discounts and with only 5 weeks out.please katy cant hold a candle to bey.she has many years to cover in order to be able to be compared with her.and lets see her tour grossing around 200 millions like bey did after so many years I  the industry.oh yeah I forgot singles are the important stuff.a 1.30 single is more important than the 16 dollars of an album and the 80 dollars of a concert.

^ Having a good back catalogue of singles is one of things that makes you a draw after 10, 15, 20 years in the business. however good a singer, dancer, performer you are, is enough people don't like you singles for several albums it will hurt you (unless you're solidly established as a legend and heritage act).
