Sun Ra firstly wrote the lyrics, then Zombie Zombie sampled, then Gaga sampled them. They're both credited in the booklet

Yeh ofc, It's done all the time and it's only gaga's bad reputation that caused her to get complaints over this. 

 

Gaga's bad rep is also completely unfair tbh, so BTW sounded like express yourself, it happens, It just happened to Katy and she ain't getting **** for it.

And now that we heard BTW demo, it wasn't purposely made to sound like Express Yourself, it just happened. Pop music has years of existence, it's very hard to create melodies which chord progression was never used before  :P

Exactly, people are so hard on gaga and it's really unfair tbh. I think it's just coz she's so talented people expect her to live up to a higher standard.
