TexasMonster 3
2k unsold according to billboard. floppiest european date, only one not sold out That's not really fair to call Vienna the floppiest date. I mean sure it technically is the only date not sold out, but I would still take this over Portugals attendance and gross...
itsdominik 16,733
2k unsold according to billboard. floppiest european date, only one not sold out That's absolutely ridiculous! Vienna was 100% sold out! JUST LOOK AT THAT CROWD! THERE'S NO WAY THERE WERE 2,000 TICKETS UNSOLD!!!!
asana15 16,648
How many % of the revenues has an artist from the tours? According to Forbes she makes "...works out to $2 million gross per show, of which she’d likely keep about $800,000 a night after concert promoter fees, security, and other costs..." (~35% of the gross). http://www.forbes.com/sites/zackomalleygreenburg/2011/01/12/why-lady-gaga-will-earn-100-million-in-2011/ According to Billboard "...$300K to $400K on a $700K to $800K gross..." http://www.billboard.com/articles/business/6273989/opening-acts-losing-money

itsdominik 16,733
So according to Billboard, the artRAVE in Vienna was the only European date that was not sold out! They claim thatover 2,000 tickets remained unsold, which is complete nonsense! Look at the photos and tell me where these 2,000+ people should have been standing/sitting! The arena was completely full (the white things in the seating area are the stairs)! They expected her to sell the exact amount of tickets she sold with the Born This Way Ball here, which is were about 13,6k tickets! The problem is that it was impossible for her to do so, because they added a new stand (on the right side of the 1st photo), which takes away a lot of space in the GA area. In addition to that the stage with the runways also takes away more space than the Monster Pit! She couldn't have sold more tickets, because there wasn't any space left in the arena! In other words, the artRAVE in Vienna was sold out!
