LiveNation or whoever booked the dates really needs to get fired, a second date for Sydney and Melbourne was just ridiculous from the start. Actually one date in Sydney and another in Melbourne would be more than enough for Australia considering the success of ARTPOP and their population.
 
Better add two second dates in Australia instead of milking either Italy, Spain or Asia which is where the demand is at. (putting aside South America even though one date in Brazil and other in Argentina would be great)

The problem isn't the amount of shows, it's the lack of promo in Australia. Gaga wasn't there ONCE the whole era, which is completely ridiculous and plain out stupid. You can't expect to sell out shows in a major market that requires promo where none was given

The Oceanian dates should have been like this with 0 promo:

AUGUST 20 - SYDNEY - Allphones Arena

AUGUST 23 - MELBOURNE - Rod Laver Arena

SEPTEMBER 01 - AUCKLAND - Vector Arena

 

And then during her June break she could've done promo and then added these dates:

AUGUST 21 - SYDNEY - Allphones Arena

AUGUST 24 - MELBOURNE - Rod Laver Arena

AUGUST 26 - PERTH - Perth Arena

AUGUST 29 - BRISBANE - Brisbane Entertainment Centre

 

And then if those dates sold out:

AUGUST 27 - PERTH - Perth Arena

AUGUST 30 - BRISBANE - Brisbane Entertainment Centre

you get that you can't go on a tour in Australia and only perform 2 arena shows? Same with Latin America. When you travel to Australia, you need to get back the amount of money the travelling of everything costed - which is a lot. That's also the reason why artists don't usually go to Australia.

It's the same with South Africa, the Middle East, East-Asia and Latin America. The demand must be big enough for multiple big shows, else they won't make back the money they spent.

16,000? The max capacity for concerts is 15,500. http://www.pertharena.com.au/About_Perth_Arena/Perth%20Arena%20Facts.aspx  I really doubt there was 12,000 there.
