I actually think it'll be beneficial for both.

Gaga fans and alike will see that katy isn't even that bad on tour like she is with simple performances

Media attention to Gaga 'winning' this round

I saw Katy live on California Dreams Tour. She is really bad live. And I'm not a hater, I like her songs, but she is such a bad live singer, even on her tour.

They didn't give you official info. "For the last time" as if you ever quoted me? I never saw your answers.

It's hard to believe because when she was at her peak it took her like 9  whole months to sell out the arena. It's almost impossible to sell well here everybody who follows the shows here would know that. Rihanna is HUGE here and she can't sell it out. Many fans look at the info here and claim it to be real when it is not. I've had to tell 3 fans not to worry because there is no way to know how it is selling. No way. The user just gave you a random number that he saw on the "MEO arena website" (without any source) but the fact is that they do not give away any info on that. Ever.

Not trying to be rude, but you showed up every so often claiming I should change it, so I thought if I ignored you, as time got on, you'd get bored of asking. If you actually responded with the real figures, I'd change it, but if you don't even have anything to present to the contrary, why should I change it? Gaga's released a lot more singles since she last performed in Portugal, meaning that she's built up her hit catalogue. That's what encourages people to buy tickets for future tours, even if they haven't got the album - they'll go to hear the hits. That's why an artist's biggest tour usually isn't the one that had the biggest selling album. And just because an artist is big in a country doesn't mean that they should sell out easily - Rihanna isn't exactly famed for being a great live act, so maybe that's got something to do with why she can sell music, but not a live show? And Gaga's the opposite at the moment? I live in Scotland, and Gaga hasn't toured here since March 2010. That date sold out completely, but took its time to do so. Right up until the day before, there were spare tickets kicking about, and again, that's when she was at her peak. When it was revealed she was coming back here again after all this time, excitement was huge and the date (along with all the other UK ones) sold out within minutes of going on sale. More hits plus a long period of absence always causes good sales. That's why a lot of artists don't go to regions like Latin America or Africa with every tour, but rather only go every second or third tour. In regions where the music market isn't as good, you won't sell out with every tour, but make them miss you and they'll come running back when they have the chance.

I still agree with Alex tho  he's Portugese himself and knows this stuff better. You can't know the numbers for Athens either  it's the same for Lisbon. You can't know the numbers unless it's sold out becaause there's no seating map or anything that shows availaability

And the capacity shown is the Rihanna's one for her Diamonds World Tour, so it's not like Gaga's and we don't know about that.

Like tickets sold, we should put aside the capacities until we have confirmed receipts and boxscores.  :excited2: I can't wait for the boxscores too

Sure. It's best to have lies on the OP rather than the truth. There is no way to know so let's just pretend we know.

Makes sense. Also comparing Lisbon to Scotland makes no sense, the market is very different.

Excuse me? :rip:

Before "educating me" someone should have actual reciepts for the ridiculously wrong numbers for the date in the OP.

And the capacity shown is the Rihanna's one for her Diamonds World Tour, so it's not like Gaga's and we don't know about that.

Exactly. This thread could be much better managed.

Why not putting "NOVEMBER 10 - LISBON - MEO Arena - TICKETS AVAILABLE - 00,000/18,000 (0%)" ? We don't know the figures so...  :ohwell:

What's the update? I haven't had any updates on that for ages?

For the last time, someone gave me official info, so I reported it. It's not like I'm saying it's sold out - just giving the numbers that I was told. I don't see why these numbers are so hard to believe. She didn't perform in Portugal with TBTWB, despite there being a demand for it, so now her fans are mega thirsty for her to come back. By the time she does this gig, it'll have been 4 years since she performed in the country. Plus, not every artist comes to Portugal. It's a pretty big deal. Beyonce sold out two gigs at the arena recently. I don't think it's beyond the bounds of reason for Gaga to sell out one. Remember that there may also be people from Western Spain want to go to the Portugal concert as it's nearer to them than Barcelona and considering she's not going to Madrid.

Oh, I thought you made these updates!
