Nemo 4,293 Posted December 4, 2013 Share Posted December 4, 2013 I wish that all the outlets that made hay over the 82% (?) drop from week one to week two, were forced to trumpet this result to the same degree, and call it a triumph if they called the drop a flop (as they did).Of course, I realize that it's just a Black Friday artifact. But I also realize that the drop was just an artifact of having a lot of pent-up pre-orders and eager fans who got it immediately, and it never should've been cited as a failure, because it wasn't -- the opposite, if anything. Besides, the album went #1. To anyone who dares call it a flop, they can suck on that #1 'til ARTPOP Act 2 goes #1. And then they can suck on that too. She's far more famous than any of her contemporaries, no matter how you put it. Besides, Gaga is selling more albums WW and Katy is BARELY selling more in the US. 15,000 is nothing. Katy's just lucky Gaga isn't selling as much this era, else she'd be left in the dust. Anyway, congrats Gagz! You have been spilling so much scorching hot tea today....its giving me life!!!! BangTheGong 310 Posted December 4, 2013 Share Posted December 4, 2013 I can't at y'all saying "slay" ...she is flopping so hard...eating prism's dust after only 2 weeks released... hate me all you want...in fact I even hate myself for saying this but i feel like she deserves to flop because of the awful promotion and marketing they are carrying for this album. 4 months after first single, the album is already out and they can't even manage to release a video for a second single (which was changed at the very last minute)... mess...not here for nº 7 Have some faith sis. Adele did something similar with her singles "Rumor Has It" and "Set Fire to the Rain". The Latter topped the Hot 100 for 3 weeks with zero promo.
