HORRORHOLIC

I'm sure she's doing as an artistic statement or something but I definitely think Gaga looks better shaved, I prefer shaved anyway. And before someone says it makes them look like little girls and it's natural to have hair etc... I guess that would mean girls should stop shaving their armpits and legs too..because it's natural.

I'm sorry but do you know what was "natural" during the end of the sixties/entire seventies for women to do? Shaving NOTHING - armpits, pubes, legs, the whole works. The more hair the better (also deemed s-xier) back then. Which proves these things are all a fad. On a different but related note: men should consider shutting up about their "preferences" when it comes to the female body (as if Gaga or any other woman should care about yours) and get it through their heads once and for all that you have no right to dictate what women can and cannot do with their own bodies, nor assume that what they do with it has been done to or should be done to please men.

Do some of you really think all women shave all of it off :awkney: Acting as if you've seen the Antichrist or something.

I'm not trying to dictate anything, just stating my preference. Gaga herself has said she prefers shaving and usually does anyway. If she or anyone else choose not too that's up to them. But why should I or anyone else shut up about our preferences ? Everyone likes different things and everyone has a right to express their opinion.

I stan for Gaga as well :ohwell:

Criticizing is the only way to a solution :ohwell:

No solution is necessary.  It's your issue if you feel Gaga's exposure of her Body in whatever way she choose's doesn't match your idea of social mores.

There's a difference between casually talking about finding it s-xy when women shave or commenting on a photo of your supposed idol saying she would be s-xier if she had shaved and that you prefer shaved "anyway". I'd love to see how you react when you take a nude photo (in an artistic setting or not) and we'd all start making "cute" comments about how ugly your genitals look - and you're male, you're not even the victim of systemic, pervasive oppression and objectification like women have been for thousands and thousands of years.

I said you do not have the right to dictate what women should do with their own bodies, not that you can't have preferences or even that you can't make those insensitive comments people should consider keeping to themselves. But comments like yours (especially with the "should" vibe you put in there) are endemic to our society and lean very much toward the former (dictating). Free speech about your preferences is fine and all, but don't expect women to go cheer you on when you're literally saying "I think you're not desirable unless you do x to your body". Apparently you don't see how demeaning and how assholish that is?

This, of course, goes for all the people in this thread acting like she's abnormal for having hair down there. Most of whom, incidentally, are male.
