I know itunes is not tsuch a big market in Europe but the song spent many days in top 10 of Ger, UK, FR, IT where itunes is relatively relevant compared to the rest of Europe...maybe it´s not the best seller of the year but what i mean it´s doing better there than in USA where she made 323236326 epic performances of the song and it barely reached top 20

But in the US she actually has airplay and lots of people seem to know the song, which makes it a hit.

Every hit has a reason to become a hit though, why do you try to take that away from the song? Some songs become hits because of the video, some because of the airplay, some because of remixes and some because of commercials.

True.. Please need to stop shading DWYW. The song itself is doing great so far. The problem is with Gaga/Interscope

There are definitely problems. And what irks me is that If the problem is the controversy of the video, what kind or video could this be? I mean they have let her release videos like Alejandro, Telephone, Judas, LoveGame etc how more controversial can a video really be? I don't trust Terry at all...

Inb4 R. Kelly pisses on Gaga while Gaga gets crucified - planned release on Christmas.

It´s hilarious how everything you say is exactly the same facts why I I thing the song is bigger in Europe than US..you´re just denying such an obvious thing: If the it has more airplay in America it is suppose to be already on top 10 and it couldn´t.. how hard is this to you understand?

the problem is that the other labels are not better. . . Interscope at least leaves Gaga doing her music ..  They hardly care what producers she uses ...  And then they are the ones to manage her singles etc..   Gaga should leave them do this because they give her enough freedom .. I am not sure If she will have the same freedom on other labels.  .  .

I disagree, it seems like with the ARTPOP era they had a lot more influence on the kind of songs she's making than with the BTW era, which I'm sad about. It might've been just Troy, but a lot of songs would probably be way different if it was up to Gaga - remember the iTunes version of J&D? There was an extra trap breakdown. On ARTPOP the Hee Hees were way higher. On Swine there were actual squeals and screams in the song and there was a breakdown. In MANiCURE her voice was edited to sound really rockstar-y. All have been changed to much more commercial things that would fit Pop radio, and it disappoints me. I think Interscope is behind it. I think that Columbia is a much better label.

I always thought that one day Gaga is going to have her own label... I'm pretty sure she's tired of all those restrictions which prevent her to express herself...

But let's not pretend it's not doing well in Europe

It is.

Let's be honest, if the commercial stopped airing, the song would fall down out of the Top 40 while if it stopped getting aired in the US it would fall down a few spots, because its airplay is great.

I know, my point is that they let her choose her producers, they let her write her own songs, and then they choose the best songs ...  While other labels can force u work with other producers and even songwriters. . .

DWYW is slaying so hard in Europe ans still a moderate hit in USA   what a irony

it's a huge airplay flop in my country, her least played single EVEEEEEEEEER!!!!!!!! it's like it's not even a single... It went number one on the singles chart based on fan sales and album hype, but after that nobody bought the song! The ARTPOP era is completely dead here, and it makes me pretty sad  :(
