I start to believe that too concerning Gaga's disagreement with Interscope...

But I really hope the video will be out next week, after that, it will be too late, the single will be definitely dead. I don't think DWUW will stay in top 15 without the video...

In the US I think it can. WW it will face troubles like Dark Horse.

Do some of you really believe DWUW isn't going to have a video? It is taking forever and it does seem like it's never going to come but  I doubt Gaga will not make a video at all.

And still selling well especially if you compares to its airplay... What you sad is exactly the maily argument to valid my point if you ask me

The song is selling because of the commercial. But the only way to really see success of a single is airplay and Spotify streams. Fact is, most people don't even know the song yet because they haven't heard it on radio (it barely gets airplay) or haven't heard it yet on the Internet (it has like what? 20 mil streams in total?)

We've been saying this for a month now: if she doesn't release the video next week, the single will be dead. I'm seriously done with DWUW, and the only reason I want it to be successful at this point is so that radio won't take 3 months with the third single to peak in Pop airplay like Applause.

Yeah, and Red & Blue slayed in terms of no videos, no promotion and no airplay :toofunny:

You should know that the only reason DWUW is high in Europe is the commercial, and in some parts of Europe there's airplay. But it's nowhere near a smash hit, and at this point I don't even think it'll ever get a video.

Every hit has a reason to become a hit though, why do you try to take that away from the song? Some songs become hits because of the video, some because of the airplay, some because of remixes and some because of commercials.

Remember when Gaga said "After the SNL performance made such a buzz, I don't think yall are ready for the video" I also believe that there might be some problems between her and Interscope about the video ..

If that's true, she needs to leave Interscope. They have a problem with ****ing everything it seems.

I know itunes is not tsuch a big market in Europe but the song spent many days in top 10 of Ger, UK, FR, IT where itunes is relatively relevant compared to the rest of Europe...maybe it´s not the best seller of the year but what i mean it´s doing better there than in USA where she made 323236326 epic performances of the song and it barely reached top 20

Songs don't become hits from commercials alone, though. If only 1 in 15 people know a song and 1 in 30 bought them it doesn't make it more of a hit than a song which 14 out of 15 people know and 1 out of 30 bought them, eventhough the sales are the same. If the commercial would stop airing tomorrow, DWUW would probably fall out of the Top 30 everywhere in Europe besides the UK because that's the only thing that's keeping it up there.

There are definitely problems. And what irks me is that If the problem is the controversy of the video, what kind or video could this be? I mean they have let her release videos like Alejandro, Telephone, Judas, LoveGame etc how more controversial can a video really be? I don't trust Terry at all...

the problem is that the other labels are not better. . . Interscope at least leaves Gaga doing her music ..  They hardly care what producers she uses ...  And then they are the ones to manage her singles etc..   Gaga should leave them do this because they give her enough freedom .. I am not sure If she will have the same freedom on other labels.  .  .
